There is not a lot I would do in front of my parents if I were married. Not a good connection.

We are talking about young, unmarried couples behaviour, not married couples. I think it is a good standard to those young Christian couples who are dating.

Of course I would not want my parents walking into my bedroom, but a dating couple should never do anything they would not want their parents walking in on.

But where does light kissing and hand-holding lead to? Once you start, even if you start small, it's hard to stop. And normally, you'll regret even the littlest things. I've held hands and hugged with my past boyfriends, and one time, I had to push myself away to keep from kissing one boy. I've regretted it(not pushing away, but holding hands and hugging)- and I wish I had not let it go even that far with any of my boyfriends.

I am saving my first kiss- and all other intimate contact- for the day of my wedding. What could be a more precious gift than a pure conscience (and body) to give the love of my life? In the end, he'll be the only one I would ever have WANTED to hug and hold hands with, etc. in the first place.

It is human nature to want to get as close to the line of sin...and to stay there and dance until we "trip" over it.

If we are willing to listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we would find that we would come nowhere near that line. In fact, we would have to stand on something to be able to even see where it is.

I was once a teenager, raging hormones and all. I know from experiance that the closer you get to that line, the faster you run, the more momentum you build, and the more impossible is becomes to slam on the brakes.

Is remaining pure and chaste impossible? Absolutely not! Is it easy? Again, absolutely not! Everything within us wants that passion, that desire, that satisfaction. But like so many other things, God's way does not lead to that immediate gratification...or the guilt and shame that would follow it.

Waiting, and staying well back from that line that seperates purity from impurity (notice I did not say 'virginity' or 'sin', but PURITY), is not the easy way, or the popular way, but it is God's way, and, therefore, the right way...and the only way.

    In Christ,
    Trotter

Everything counts. It's best to keep your hands to yourself.

To bump a thread on an Internet forum is to post a reply to it purely in order to raise the thread's profile. This will typically return it to the top of the list of active threads. BUMP is sometimes used as a backronym for "Bring Up My Post/Post count" or as a recursive acronym "Bump Up My Post". A new variation is the term "Bimp", which is a combination of "Bump" and "Pimp". The idea is bumping a thread in order to pimp or promote a website.

Usually, if a thread has been dormant for six months or more, it is best to start a new thread. There are several posters in this one who are no longer a part of the BB. this could cause confusion for many and concern for some others by seeing these names and faces "back from the dead."

Bumping a thread is usually done on a recent thread to get it visibility, not to resurrect ancient history.

I didn't like the original poster's comments. I'm not sure where he is.

Maybe I'll post on this subject in the near future. ;)
