A mob torched a church where hundreds had sought refuge Tuesday, and witnesses said dozens of people — including children — were burned alive or hacked to death with machetes in ethnic violence that followed Kenya's disputed election.
The killing of up to 50 ethnic Kikuyus in the Rift Valley city of Eldoret brought the death toll from four days of rioting to more than 275, raising fears of further unrest in what has been one of Africa's most stable democracies.
The latest violence recalled scenes from the genocide in Rwanda in 1994, when more than a half-million people were killed. The question facing Kenya is whether the politicians will lose control of the mobs, triggering a civil war.

Kenya's tourism industry, which brings in some $900 million and attracts more than 1 million visitors a year, is sure to suffer from the violence. The United States has warned tourists against all but essential travel to Kenya, and Britain has advised against travel in some areas.

Do you think it will hurt tourism?? If the goverment has to warn someone not to go over there. They should give them a ticket over there. They are so stupid they do not need to be here.

That is just standard procedure any time there is a situation like this in another country.

I know it is standard procedure the problem is why would you need a procedure? You know at some point in the past someone went somewhere it was dangerous and said they did not know. How stupid can you be. they think it will hurt tourism do you think.

More tidings from the religion of peace. :tear: The press in usual politically correct zeal is failing to report the whole truth that it is Muslims on the riot because their Muslim candidate (Raila Odinga) lost the election (who, also, wanted to institute Sharia law if elected). Interestingly, Obama's father was from this same tribe as Odinga. When you hear of beheadings going on, and people being burned alive in churches, it's a clue. :tear:

Thanks for the information that the media is not willing to give us

or who does not want to be politically incorrect in telling the fact.

We need to pray for these precious people who have been hurt badly by this
religion of "piece". May the Lord put His arm of safety around His suffering children in Kenya.

We are truly blessed in this country that people do not resort to violence when they lose politically, even in the midst of great controversy as in 2000.
