Everyone keeps saying "black churches" but aren't many of these churches "baptist churches"?

Don't baptist churches belong to associations?

Why isn't this being addressed at that level?

I don't know for sure, but I would guess that Black Baptists have sold their souls to the Democrat party, just as White ones are sold out to the GOP. Jesus takes a back seat.

    I'm generalizing, of course.

In the case of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, the endorsement was at the top as well as at the bottom.

The Constitution Party is really going to help elect Kerry if they vote for Peroutka.

The law does not address legal politics--it merely addresses actions in the pulpit. Since the GOP does not stoop to those tactics, it is mostly Democrats who are in violation of their own law. Since the law represses free speech, it should not be enforced and it should be repealed. Rev. Lynn should get a job and work for a living.

But if not repealed - then enforced equally.

I agree, C4K. The congressional representative for my district said that he supported Kerry in his going into churches, and that he didn't think there was any proof of the DNC or the ACLU sending people into Evangelical churches to stop them from distributing RNC literature or "Vote Bush" buttons. I gave him several instances, and he said it wasn't true that it was "right winged" lies. Needless to say, I didn't vote for him this year. I have voted for him the last two elections until now.

I've never heard that expression - what does it mean?

Yes, of course. Which color of people are sold out to the Constitution Party?

But if not repealed - then enforced equally. </font>[/QUOTE]With all due respect, it is very likely that the Irish have taught you to live in the world of fantasy and dreams. Are you going to send some white cop into black churches to see that the law is obeyed. If so, it would be while the white guy was present. However, as soon as he departed, it would be business as usual. We are talking about the religious left. Don't pay any attention to Pat Robertson and the 700 Club about imaginery black conservatives. He is trying to get you to donate.
