I cannot find word one on any bid. The contract was GIVEN to Lauren, not bid on by him, like you are claiming.

Show me where it says it was a sole source contract.

Really you are not so unaware of Capitalism as to believe it was not let out for bids are you?

Lowest bidder in this case meant the company who would fund the committee the greatest .......... and all this time I thought you were a Capitalist.

You are making stuff up. Lauren never bid, he was awarded it. The article says that, I don't need to. Retract your false statement.

I guess you have never head of a contract being awarded. Seems you not only do not understand Capitalism but have little or no understanding of contracting.

And it seems you are willing to say anything, regardless of the truth.

The contract was given to Lauren. His decision was to make the uniforms in China. The paragraph you posted is NOWHERE in the article.

You have no idea if the contract went to the lowest bidder or not.

    You talking through your hat.

First of all - who is "whining and crying"?

And second of all - who would ever give money to the Olympic Committee?

    Not me for sure.

    Ridiculous because:

    1. The USOC is a non-taxpayer funded nonprofit (http://support.teamusa.org/site/PageNavigator/How_Giving_Helps_Fund_Team_USA.html). Private, not public, funds paid for the clothing. IMO the public has no right to criticize the way it was spent.

    2. Ralph Lauren is and American company.

    3. Reid, Pelosi, Benhor(sp?), and the majority of the others who are squawking about this are wearing clothes made offshore. Reeks of hypocrisy.

    1. Common sense tells you there was a contract.

    2. Common sense tells you that Ralph Lauren wants to make a profit, or at least gain good publicity by supporting the Olympic Committee.

    3. Common sense tells you that not everything a person can think of and whine about will in spelled out ABC in an article.

4.Common sense tells you this is a non-issue. The Olympic Committee receives no government funding. They are free to do what they believe best for the Olympic athletes.

I'm not the one posting paragraphs from articles that don't exist. You are. The quote you posted cannot be found in the article. Period. Why would you link to it ? It's not there.

It is up to you to prove this went to the lowest bidder, as this is your claim. Either prove it, or take it back. It's simple. If it's a non-issue, why <PA deleted - LA> ?

<PA deleted - LE>, it was the only way to post the quote and for you to find it.

It is obvious because of Capitalism and the needs of the Olympic Committee. Now if you do not believe it that is your problem. Everyone is yelling about China making the clothes and so the article are dwelling on that and not going back and talking about why Lauren was selected. The closest you can come is the statement from the Olympic Committee. If you do not like what they say, again that is your problem.

How many of your shirts say "Made in China"?

    Again, I say ... <PA deleted - LE>.

For people interested in the truth, our unforms were made in Canada, until 2008. Lauren has had the contract since then.

It's not in the article. The article DOES NOT say whay you say it does. <PA deleted - LE>I do not care about China, or my shirts, or even capitalism. I am trying, in vain as usual, to get you to post an honest statement.

You posted up a paragraph, and a link to an article, and that paragraph is not in the article. Is that honest ? You are attributing words to an article that are not there. You are right. <PA deleted>. This is an example. Retract yopur false statements, and I'll leave you alone.

I believe that the church is to be the salt of the world. As the church goes so goes the nation. When we become tasteless we are to be trampled under the foot of man. As the church pulls away from her God we lose the protection and blessings he has for us. As we experience the fading blessings of God so does the nation.

I totally agree with this editorial. Politicians and others should look in their own closets before throwing stones at the Olympic Committee and Ralph Lauren.

I have been trying to find WHY China was chosen to provide the uniforms.

That seems to be the $64,000 question. Until we have a valid answerer - all other discussion is futile.

Free, please enlighten me, how are we pulling away from God if we let China make our Olympic uniforms.

If the uniforms are like the rest of China's products they will be made out of anti-freeze, lead paint and asbestos.
