What I have disturbingly seen from years of participation on Christian forums is a lack of love for believers who hold to divergent positions on various doctrines.

I have never seen such mean-spirited people as I have seen among supposed Christians.

I understand even better than in years past what Jesus meant when he talked about the narrow way and there being few who find it.

I can say this with certainty: There are many who claim the name of Christ who will not see heaven if they don't change the way they treat fellow believers. They are kidding themselves if they think otherwise.

So if a person changes his behavior, he'll go to heaven? That's totally incorrect.

I don't think this thread you've started is as cut and dried as you want to make it out to be.

What I see are other brothers standing against false teachings, namely yours, for instance. When they do so, and they should, you call it ugly by implication. But that's been the status quo since false teachings have come about.

When in the history of the church have those who stood for truth and against false teachings been called 'pretty' when doing so?

Thus your post is really pointless.

Another thing you are doing is calling the salvation of others (those who oppose your errant teachings) into question, rather, calling them lost. Perhaps you could get the log out of your own eye, and find you're own accusations 'disturbing.'

You do not know the difference between love and sloppy agape! what you are promoting is sloppy agape or a perverted love the Bible knows nothing about.

Your kind of love is the kind a person says when they say I love God but love their sin too! - sloppy agape

Your kind of love is the kind that disobeys scriptures like 2 Thessalonians 3:6 but then says I love God.

Your kind of love is the kind that Mormons and Unitarians and all other heretics that want UNITY at the expense of truth - this is not the love or unity Christ speaks about (Jn. 17:17).

My friend. You are placing your fellow believers under law. Pray that the Holy Spirit enlightens them in seeing the error of their ways, and pray the Holy Spirit bears fruit in them.

How can he pray for the enlightenment of others when his is praying in the spiritual darkness of his errors?? How can be pray for the Holy Spirit to bear fruit in others when his fruit of doctrine originates with Satan (1 Tim. 4:1).

More importantly how can you side with him and still be a friend of truth?

I'll do that, and I'll also pray that they will repent for maligning and falsely accusing me. I also believe in the law of sowing and reaping. They'd better be careful.

You have gone too far. You are treading on dangerous ground. I rebuke you in the name of Jesus; get behind me, Satan!

Jesus said, "IF you love me KEEP my commandments"

John said, "This is the love of God that we keep his commandments"

It is not the love of God that repudiates such protective measures for the faith as 2 Thessalonians 3:6 by allowing every foul doctrine under the sun roost within the congregations of Christ.

This kind of sloppy agape is taught and preached by churches who will not obey 1 Corinthians 5 because they don't want to offend or drive away such sinners from their midst as that would be "unloving" and "unchristian."

The Love of God does not violate the HOLINESS of God because love REJOICETH IN THE TRUTH not in error. It is neither loving or holy to embrace what God rejects and calls upon his people to separate themselves from.

Tough love is seen by most of the world as being "hateful"! After Christ dealt patientily with the Scribes and Pharisees and realized that no amount of teaching was going to change their hate for the truth he unleashed upon them what many Christians would call "hate" speech in Matthew 23. Paul instructed Titus to "sharply rebuke" such and such rebuke would no doubt be regarded as being "hateful" by the receipient and worldly Christians who know only sloppy agape!

You won't think it funny, if you persist.

Being the *** that you are, bray to God for forgiveness.

My friend. I never said that I sided with him. I merely said, that curbing behavior is placing others under law.

Oh, no, it's not I whom you should fear. I know Whom I am following, and I know who your father is.

I don't have to condemn you; you are condemned already.

No need for tests or proving. God was with me in my mother's womb, and he supernaturally spared my life and gave me a mission, part of which was to rebuke and dispel darkness. So, I rebuke you. Your reckoning is coming unless you repent.

I don't have to "bring it on" or do anything. God goes before me to fight my battles. Get ready; your time is approaching.

I see, you are not only a prophet but your own self authenticating prophet as well. So you were commissioned from your womb? I believe that because all of us are depraved from the womb and have been commissioned by our Father the devil to be just like him.

Those who are saved were not saved from the womb but in repentance and faith in the gospel you abhor and deny.

I stand on and by the Gospel. It is you who denies it.

Keep on piling those coals on your head. It's going to get hot soon. You may still have time to repent before Divine payback.

No point in continuing this discussion as you would have to be God for your condemnations to mean anything and you are not and so they are worthless.

Howevever, do you believe that the Love of God is consistent with the Holiness of God or are they contrary one to the other? Is God's love consistent with God's holiness - his hatred of sin and his veracity?

If you continue to question the salvation of others you will not be on this board much longer. They take that seriously around here.

I can vouch for that, as no matter how 'spirited" our cal Vrs Arm debates tend to get, still No No to question if one is saved or not!

Main line Christian denominations subscribe to the ecumenical creeds as the minimum beliefs required for being "Christian." Main line churches are thus able to differentiate between required Christian beliefs and optional denominational beliefs. Baptists do not have this ability and feel required to bad-mouth differing minor interpretations that main line Christians may ignore.

For example, my congregation invites anyone who is baptized Christian, and is a member of a Christian Church to join us at communion. Technically, Baptists Churches are not "Christian" but pragmatically most of our members don't know the difference.

I beg to differ. Baptists do have confessions of faith that allow them to define essentials. Among our Baptist churches they differ on many things that are regarded as relatively non-essential (wine versus grape juice, timing of the rapture, holidays, head covering; etc.).

Sounds like you might belong to a typical Southern Baptist congregation where love is preached 57 different ways and little is doctrine is taught.

Open communion invalidates the Lord's Supper in the eyes of Christ for a variety of reasons that are spelled out in 1 Corinthians 5, 10, 11.
