Does anyone know if the MacArthur's Study Bible is available in the old KJV?

If so do you know where I can get one?

    Thanks

It is only in the NKJV.

MacArthurs commentary series (HIGHLY recommended; can't say enough good) uses the NASB pretty much throughout. I think the NASB is better Greek and better translation, but the wording in English is far below a typical KJVrevision. So don't use it.

Since I use the KJV or NJKV as a pulpit ministry I was pleased his study Bible was NKJV and not NASB. It is a tremendous resource.

I have used the MacArthur's Study Bible since it first came out. I have worn my first copy out (even though I carry it in a bible cover), and have recently purchased another.

When I get the chance and find it on sell, I try to buy up one or two to give to young preachers and growing Christians. I have found it to be a wonderful tool for understanding many, many passages of Scripture.

My wife uses my MacArthur's along side of her KJV Rainbow bible, primarily as a commentary. She also will read the passage in the NKJV, if she is having trouble with it (she is KJV-prefered, not KJVonly).

The charts and maps are also a great help, and the topical index in the back is nice as well. But the true value of the MSB is in the cross-references. I would pay the price of the MacArthur's Study Bible just for the cross-refernce system it uses. Yes, it is that good.

    In Christ,

My church gave me the MacArthur study Bible - four or five years ago last Christmas. During the first three years I had it - I read through it - reading all the study helps as I went along.

I use MacArthur's commentary on Romans for my message preparation (along with Boice's).

I came across MacArthur's Commentary series LATE in my pastoral life. Every verse, every passage in detailed exposition is a DREAM for a busy pastor.

No matter how much research and gleaning I did on a text (3 years preaching through Matthew) I could go to John's books (4 on Matthew) and find insights and help.

His study bible just is the tip of the iceberg. But be aware that he is Baptist, reformed and dispensational (JUST LIKE BOB) and that might be offensive to some!
