My point is - nothing in her story matched up to the video.

Why then make the jump to "there must be more video"?

Is it one of those "the seriousness of the charge" is more important than the reality of things?

There should be more video. That's the point. Why should the TSA be doing things off camera dealing with passengers? That's way too dangerous for veracity - for the passengers and the TSA.

I trust citizens way more than I do the government and its agents.

How do you know that anything happened off video?

Meg said so. And I trust her way more than I do government agents.

There are demonstrated differences between her claims and what was in the video that we have seen.

Why assume that the rest of her story is more accurate?

I found an interveiw with Meg Mclain.

She is slightly changing her story.

    Things like...

    "I miss spoke"
"only lasted for a few minutes"
"in the moment I saw something else than really happened"

    By far the best is...

"It doesn't matter what actually happened - you can see that they were over the top"

BTW - she doesn't know if there is missing video footage or not.

    What's up with that?

I mean she is the one that was there.

No one in the federal government has proven that she lied. I am not aware of any proof that she lied supplied by anyone. Why would anyone trust the TSA?

The proof she lied is in her own testimony compared to the surveillance video.

I don't agree with your conclusion. We'll have to agree to disagree on this, brother.

Considering the source, Prison planet, that was to be expected.

The full body scanner that's in question right now. It shows a nearly naked picture of those who walk through it -- with enough detail of body parts to be able to make comments.

Ken - I believe the woman over-exaggerated what happened. For some people, it's human nature to be upset about a situation and exaggerate what happened.

HOWEVER, I still believe this scanner provides an unnecessary risk of radiation exposure, as well as privacy and morality questions; and the pat-down if you refuse constitutes unreasonable search in violation of the 4th amendment.

To say that you don't mind a little extra intrusion in the name of security, means that we haven't learned the lessons of the past, and deserve to fall victim to them again.

I actually knew what it was, but the name "naked body scanner" seems bent on prejuding the reader against it. The scanner is not naked and the body it scans is not naked either. The uninformed might think otherwise.

Whether one objects to it's use or not, it's still simply a full body scanner. There's nothing "naked" about it.

Other than the image the scanner produces....

And it lacks enough detail to be considered "naked" as well. But it is definitely revealing and I understand the concerns.

BTW I do believe the woman in this story is grossly exaggerating or just plain lying about her treatment.

    You watched the video, Ken.

Was she the only one to go through the scanner?

Was she unable to wipe her tears because she was handcuffed to a chair?

Meg was busy with the way she was treated and didn't realize that other people went through. That is quite understandable.

The TSA did not release a video during the time she was handcuffed except apparently for the one that was a picture from far, far away.

Look if anyone wants to choose to believe the government instead of a private citizen that's fine. I choose to believe, based on what I have seen and read, to believe the private citizen.

The video shows her watching those walk through the scanner, Ken.
How do you know this? From her testimony this happened early on.
Nobody wants to believe anyone over another, we want to believe the truth. I'm not sure how you can say based on what you have seen and read (did you read her recant of the experience?) to believe her.

Ken, what did you see in the video that makes you believe her story?

What TSA offenses did you see in the video?
