Indeed a blessed CHRISTmas to all.
Merry Christmas to all!
Blessings in Christ,
A very blessed Christmas to all of my brothers and sisters here on BB. I thank God for each of you - even the annoying ones. ROTFL!!
Merry Christmas to all my brothers and sisters in Christ. He indeed is the reason for our love toward one another.
Merry Christmas, RS, and all you other BB'ers. God's best to you tomorrow. The Best Gift--well, you've already "unwrapped" that One...
He was born.
He was born to die.
But that was not enough.
He was born to die.
The little baby was God's precious Lamb.
The great I AM,
Conquered death so we could.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!
Immensitie cloysterd in thy deare wombe,
now leaves his welbelov'd imprisonment,
There he hath made himselfe to his intent
Weake enough, now into our world to come;
But Oh, for thee, for him, hath th'inne no roome?
Yet lay him in this stall, and from the Orient,
Starres, and wisemen will travell to prevent
Th'effect of Herods jealous generall doome.
Seest thou, my Soule, with thy faiths eyes, how he
Which fils all place, yet none holds him, doth lye?
Was not his pity towards thee wondrous high,
That would have need to be pittied by thee?
Kisse him, and with him into Egypt goe,
With his kinde mother, who partakes thy woe.
Nativitie is the third in a series of seven interlinked sonnets in John Donne's La Corona. I've found little English poetry as beautiful or profound as that of Donne's.
Heading out to the plane for my trip. I have gospels, and tracts to pass most with a christmas focus. Way of the Master, Chick Tracts, Pocket Testament League, and Mark Cahill ministries.
Blessed Merry Christmas!!!!
Today is sacred.
Not because of the origin of the holiday (we know it was pagan but Christ's brilliant glory overcame the dim artificial glory of those false gods and Christ took the holiday unto himself).
It is sacred because of what we remember. Do this day in remembrance of Christ.
Don't fuss today.
Don't argue with anyone.
Let this day be holy from the time you awake to the time you retire.
Fix your mind upon Jesus and love those around you vehemently today.
Sign your name to the end of this day knowing that your heart was true (Casting Crowns).
Don't think about your troubles today- none of them.
If a loved has gone on- do not be depressed. If they knew Christ they celebrate this day with the one who it is all about!
Do as they do- worship him all day today.
Jesus the beautiful star of Bethleham. Shining bright in the hearts of his children. May God bless all of you.
Have a great trip, and tell us about it after you get back.:wavey:
God you brothers and sisters on this Christmas day.
