Republicans also need to point out that median income is down about 10% over the last 3+ years and that inflation on essential items [food, gasoline, medical care] is up sharply.

Only 10%. Not bad considering the economy was in free-fall when he took over.

Not bad considering that unemployment was at 9.4% when Obama took office.

Median income down 10%. That is unacceptable.

Did you ever consider median income stats and unemployment are related? Median income is down 10% precisely because overall employment is down.

So you are saying the lower the unemployment rate the lower will be the median income?

DUH!! Basic math... 2 men earn $400 a week, that's about $3,250 per month. Now one is laid off and the median income for the two imedately declines by fifty percent. The laid off man is a republican, so he takes a job at the local grocery, bagging for tips and averages $200 a week raising the median income to twenty-five percent less than it had been, in the beginning of this incident.

Problem. big problem! One family is still squeezing by on the 400 but the other is now dirt poor and must shop at the Goodwill Store for hand me downs. As I said, basic math.

No, I'm saying the more people unemployed the lower the median income. The unemployed people are dragging down the median income of everyone.
