And how does it compare to talking over the British National Anthem, asking the company to slurp some juice when all, including the one the song ask God to save, stands at attention? I think he was being asked the question about the Olympics as a former Olympic coordinator. I really don't see the embarrassment. Read his quote. He expressed concerns about things he had heard about some logistics in England.

Now, if he were the President, it would have been undiplomatic to bring it up, but as a former Olympic coordinator I thought it was fair game.

 

He didn't even bring it up.

He was asked to comment during an interview.
