The TV ad based on Ashley, whose mother, Wendy Faulkner, was killed in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, is in my opinion the most powerful ad of this campaign year.

    Powerful, yes ...

Equally powerful is the ad where John Kerry speaks of our Vietnam war vets as war criminals, akin to Chingis Khan. Unbelievable. Those that served and died in Vietnam probably rolled over in their graves. :(

The most powerful campaign ad was the one that never ran:

Bush's "Mission Accomplished" romp on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln, in a borrowed flight suit.

If Kerry wins, that will be the one that did it, just as surely as Dukakis in a tank did it for Daddy Bush.

    If Kerry wins

Neither optimistic nor pessimistic. I know my guy isn't going to win. However, anyone who tells you he knows who is going to win is kidding you or himself.

The polls are see-sawing, and the states keep jumping from red to blue and back again.

    No one really knows.
