Most voters don’t want any of the young illegal immigrants who’ve recently arrived here housed in their state and say any legislation passed by Congress to deal with the problem should focus on sending them home as soon as possible.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the primary focus of any new immigration legislation passed by Congress should be to send the young illegal immigrants back home as quickly as possible. Just 27% say it should focus instead on making it easier for these illegal immigrants to remain in the United States. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided. REV. Would you ....

I saw that report too, and it made me feel like the people of this country have finally gotten some guts! I was wondering when the other 50% would smarten up! LOL

But, let me ask, would be willing to go to the detention centers and help clean up these weary travelers, feed them, clothe them, and medically bind up their wounds?

I would, if it meant being able to escort them back to the nearest plane bound for their homeland! I'm thinking you would volunteer for this humane effort!

A sizeable portion of the body politic thinks it is O.K. to abort human fetuses. The majority wins, even though many times it is wrong.

Now what? Think outside the box of conformity. What would Jesus do?

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

He would probably feed them and give them water. Then He would remind them that they are to be in subjection to government authority, and their crossing of an international border illegally is a crime and they must be returned to their homes. That is what we should do. The churches along the border are feeding them. It's up to the government to enforce its laws.

I wonder if these children make up just a fraction of those willingly aborted in the United States. Just a thought. If it were purely a money issue, no Christian ever says there's not enough money to raise a child vs having an abortion. Hrm.

:applause: Politics obviously continues to be more important than what Jesus would do.

Which, as I've told you before, was a reauthorization. You do understand the meaning of that, right? Clinton signed it into law in 1998. Bush and the Congress -- with Democrats' approval -- closed loopholes that prevent the kind of scenario happening now on the border, which means this ...
... is a lie. Probably not an intentional one on your part, but nonetheless a lie, since the DNC is trying to pass it off as true. The law as written is designed only to admit children who are victims of human slavery and human trafficking. These don't qualify, and if they did, it would require the arrest, trial and punishment of the "coyotes" who took their parents' money to get them here.

You do understand that it doesn't matter if it was a reauthorization. It wouldn't be law if it wasn't reauthorized.

It obviously didn't close the loophole if it's being done.

They obviously do qualify. If Congress wants the provision taken out that was limited to minors from MExico and Canada, then they need to fix it. Otherwise, it's perfectly legal to do what's being done.

But this again has NOTHING to do with the President breaking any laws but everything to do with folks who are looking for any and everything to denigrate this man because they are angry that they lost an election and that he is doing everything that they don't want him to do.

If you think he's wrong, combat it in the spiritual and stop this senseless ugliness that's constantly on display on this board and in many evangelical churches about this man.

    That is not exactly true!

Bush signed a law to protect children brought here for human trafficing purposes. I am sure he never imagined it would be misinterpreted as it has been and aligned with Obama's Dream Act to attract children from all over the world.

Bushes law. The Dream Act. And the way past its useful date - Anchorbaby law, need to be revised to bring an end to this crisis!

This country can no longer play welcome wagon to anybody and everybody that is not strong enough to affect change in their own country, so they run like cowards to the US to be just another entitled person, but this time they are illegally entitled!

For you to insinuate that the Bush law is being followed is as convoluted in thinking as is your accusation toward others on this board!

We spend billions annually on foreign aid. Why can we not find a way to care for these indigent people? Maybe they would wind up like the American Indians--condemned to a reservation.

How about a WPA with some Trade School on the side?

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

I just want what's best for the kids. I'm not interested in your politics.

What is best for those kids is to be sent back to their parents.

    Good point

But let me ask you this .... what abut our own kids? You know American kids who have parents truggling to keep a roof over their head and food on the table? This isn't a political question, Max, it is humanity issue and like any humanity issue, it must start at home!

What parent would take from their own kids to take care of a bunch of kids that decided to camp out in your yard demanding your help?

I am sure you would call the police and social services, and let them intervene, because helping even ten more children, children invading the sovereignty of your home, would make it impossible to feed, clothe and make those medical co pays when the ten kids invidaing your property need medical, dental and visual assistance!

We must not be afraid to say, "No!" Especially when saying "No" is made out of sound, rational, judgement!

You choose the word "demanding" to spin the problem. That's not helpful.

When children are in need, it's important to teach your own children the values of Christ. Yes, a good parent would teach their children Christ's values by sharing with other children in need.

Glen Beck said his town of 26000 was to get 2000 illegals. We can imagine what the public school system is going to be like for back to school. Add doctors office, welfare, hospitals are going to be like.

Ain't gunna be pretty across the country.

I think the problem is not lack of knowing, but rather knowing, and not wanting to follow.

Oh you KNOW. You just selfishly don't want to do it. Yall need to stop with this foolishness.

Christ climbed onto a Cross for YOU when HE didn't have to. So how dare you feign ignorance about not knowing what Christ would do.

It is shameful the way that God's so called people are always coming up with excuses why we shouldn't help the ones God says to help especially if it's gonna cost us something.
