    I was at the doctor's office this morning and THEY were running late ;)

    I got to watch more TV than usual. Mrs. Fred Winters (the wife of the pastor who was shot a little over a week ago) was interviewed. She is an amazing woman full of forgiveness and grace crediting God for everything. She talked about pulling down four plates instead of three, their plans for Disney World next summer and that now there will only be her and the girls. She talked about God and Jesus frankly and without hesitation.

    She is praying for the man that shot her husband. She'd like to meet his parents and talk with them. She had no thoughts about what should happen to the killer - just that he come to know Jesus.

    My 6th graders and I are studying the Sermon on the Mount.

    Coincidentally, our lesson this morning included the "loving your enemies" passage. As we discussed it, one of my students talked about this woman and her statements that she made.

    It was the perfect object lesson.
