the only thing on it that really matters is a report I'm working on that has taken untold hours. I was working at home and at school on the thing. It was three pages long *sob* I didn't think about backing it up yet, because I've NEVER heard of anyone's jump drive stopping. I plugged it into computer after computer today -- USB Device not Recognized. I've contacted the company because the thing is only 2 months old and under a three year warrenty. I did rewrite most of the report today. It's not what is was, but it's got to be ready for my visiting team Sunday. Now back to reading and re-reading it.

If you are using Windows, be sure to always click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in your system tray. Otherwise you risk corrupting data when pulling the jump drive out of the usb port.

Well that stinks. I know the feeling I've lost some big papers from not backing info up. Needless to say I've started backing things up. Good luck. :(

Sorry to hear it, mcdirector. I lost some important docs on a zip disk a few months ago. Man, what a bear!

    Hang in there ...
