Don I agree with you it very well could have been flawed training due to first tiume driving or what ever else. However even with that the situation was dumb as who drives into water over their head? It was a dumb move and it was funny.

Don, Padre, Salty- You're wasting your time with him. Know-it-all types rarely admit their wrongs when exposed.

FAL- Would you still be making light of this if one of them had drowned?

No but no one drowned, however it would not make it any less dumb.

Glad you agree that it very well could have been the third, fifth, or 17th time they've driven in such conditions.
Oh, I dunno; someone who's trying to save someone else's life?

Only one mistake allowed per career. I am confident there was a lot of praying going on in those HMMWVs. "Please don't let it get any deeper. Please don't let it get any deeper....."

My son watched the video. His reply? Epic fail. Apparently that is a common phrase in the Army. EOD's motto is Initial Success or Total Failure.

Back to the OP. These soldiers weren't playing, horsing around or trying to go viral on Youtube. They were citizen soldiers tasked with rescuing living, breathing human beings from the peril of flood. They left their homes and families behind, put on their battle-rattle and went to work. To call what happened dumb minimizes their unselfish service to their fellow man to something short of a stupid prank gone wrong.

Their actions put those who were already in trouble in deeper trouble and it was dumb.

Did you make a bet with someone that you could use the word dumb 30 times today? Deeper trouble? Part of me wants to know how your mind churned out that conclusion. The other part of me concedes that I'll just have to leave you to your opinion. You are free to prattle about.

I am, for one, grateful for all the dummies that serve around the world.

I'm going to ask nicely for a third time: please stop using the laughing emoticon. As previously stated, it's obvious you're intentionally trying to be offensive.

Hey, it's his opinion. Just hope he remembers they're like armpits: everyone's got two, and some smell worse than others.

    And some, a LOT worse. . . .

It is sad that you think our military are all dummies, but that is your right. Some do dumb things like those in the water video but certainly they are not all dummies, but again it is your right to believe that.

Nah; see, I had my own agenda. You'll note that I previously provided a post with multiple, logical, intelligent reasons his assumption was unwarranted; and that I notified him that his posts were offensive, and asked him to stop doing the offensive things multiple times. Now, since he won't admit how invalid his position is, and he publicly refused a request from a fellow Christian, coupled with his obvious baiting over the last couple of pages, it should be pretty clear to everyone what kind of person he is; and thus, how little his opinions really mean.

Although he was doing a pretty good job of self-character-assassination on his own, I wanted to ensure the "worthiness" of his character and opinions were publicly displayed for all.
