Chew on this one that is currently posted on the Prophecy News Watch website (the title is MINE)
    Bin Laden,the Bomb,and the USA

You can thank our worthless politicians for NOT SECURING OUR BORDERS for this being true IF IT IS. At the very least it is a scenario that is a clear and present danger to this country in this generation we live in. Could it be that this may be related to the total absence of any clear mention of the United States as a relevant entity in end-times Bible Prophecy? You decide. Thank God I'm SAVED !!!!:praying:

    It's not just the politicians.

Too many Americans refuse to take the threat seriously.

    Yes!

Carpro....I ABSOLUTELY agree with you about that! The problem is many apathy I think. The public is too busy slurping up the mainstream media's steady diet of pure pablum....Britney,Madonna,etc.etc. They are more worried about whether or not they get to take their next vacation than if the terrorists get to blow them up or the Mid east explodes into a Nuclear war between Israel and Iran. This Nation is asleep :sleeping_2: at the wheel and I predict there is gonna be a BIG wreck real soon!

Taking it seriously, for many, would mean that they would have to put their socialist agenda on hold.

    Amen, Brother!

The new President will be tested sooner rather than later. No tellin' how many Americans will die in the next one.

Terrorists have to find out who they will have to contend with for the next four years. What they will want to know is, will the President answer the bell or sit in the corner saying "no mas".

Many despise Bush and his methods for dealing with terrorism, but he answered the bell.

I am sure, should this scenario take place, some here will attempt to blame it on Obama.

Haven't you read Revelation? Obama is the Antichrist

Although I'm a Brit, I was thinking just today that the terrorists would love nothing to more than to strike America in the last few weeks of Bush's presidency. People keep forgetting GWB hasn't left office yet so he hasn't finished this aspect of his duties, or any other. Hopefully the U.S. (and elsewhere) can get through the next few months without any atrocities.

I don't believe fear serves any purpose but to deny the faith in God; cause us to over-react; turn to escapism.....ie entertainment, distractions, alcohol and drugs and sinful indulgences; make bad decisions cause we seek security and safety rather than living and making decisions based on principal.

    What do I think?

I think we are living in the end times.

I think we will not be spared the troubles which will be faced by the people of the world.

I do believe there is a rapture of the church........but.......... I also believe the experiences which are already being visited in third world countries is also going to be the experience of the Western World before and leading to the great tribulation.

I believe the Western Church has been lulled to sleep and apathy by the teachings and the promises of the rapture and is not being prepared and built up in the exercise of faith, witness, testamony and ministry, against the persecution and calamity which it will face before the rapture. I believe that in part, the heaviness of this judgement, when it comes to the church, will be the just recompense for the laity who was unwilling to repent, and the clergy who failed to preach repentance and holiness and obediance, and the overall failure of Christian to take decisive stands against immorality when we had the chance; we preferred the approval of man over the favor of God, and we don't even know one another outside our circle and our churches and the world sees no difference between the saved and the unsaved, in how we live, in how we regard each other, or in how we honor the Word. They see our divorce rate, our shacking up, our out-of wed-lock births, our drunkenness, drug abuse, addictions to pornography, the closeted and secret sins that we stand against and indulge unashamedly in secret, the theft in the work place, the sick call-ins when we're not sick, the tax fraud, the ignoring of speed laws, the slacking in the work place, etc..... and we look so much like 'them' we make 'sin' look like 'hipocrite' and God's grace look like an excuse.

I think 'the church' will regret the confusion of the babble of translations which it has accepted when the memory work of yesteryear is so slack and the familiarity with the scripture has been delegated to leadership and scholars rather than a frequent and daily pursuit by individuals: I think the contemporary church will regret the passive expectations of its attendees when its very life will depend on the strength of interactions and relationships and participation of all in the instruction, witness, and service which it has suppressed in preference for the control of order and beauty of entertainment.

We should not be taken unaware nor unprepared by any occurrence: Nuclear accident or terror attack or war: Famine: Hunger: Disease: Persecution: Oppression: Restriction: Betrayal: Criminal attack: Financial and energy crisis. Natural disasters.

Though I am sure I know the answer I will get (NONE), let's try anyway:
exactly who are these Socialists and what tenets of Karl Marx are they extolling to the detriment of our national security? You really do love to throw that word into discussions when it is clear to even the most casual of observers that you have no concept of the word. Aren't you the least bit embarrassed by doing this for everyone to see?

You cannot name many if any issues on this site that the liberal left does not hold as a personal agenda. As far as the other assertions you make it is clear in the "arena of ideas" that all you can do is make these assertions. You want to continue your constant badgering go ahead. It say more about you than anyone else.

Once again, you make it abundantly clear that you have absolutely no idea what the term is, or what it encompasses. You completely avoided my question yet again, validating my "assertions" (your word). One would think that you would have at least made an effort by now to do some research, rather than simply regurgitating the same erroneous charges in perpetuity. [Don't forget that there is a difference between communism and socialism.]
    Um, thanks, I guess......

Notice that you have now changed from "socialist" to "liberal left." You are still all over the proverbial page. I guess that you have decided to move onto another term when you are painted in a corner on the initial charge you made.

Actually you have proved you are only trying to be contrary and nothing more. You ignored that fact that every most every goal on the cpusa site is held by the liberal left/ socialists/ communists. You can call them green tulip dancers for all I care. In the end they all have the same goals. So why don't you address the goals on this site I linked to rather than making easy sarcastic remarks. If you want to get into some substance lets start here. I await your reasoned response.

So now you want to try to make an issue out of my use of phrases whether it be liberal left or socialist.

    What else do you have.

    BiR,
What do you know of socialism?
    Can you give an example?
What do you know of communism?
    Can you give an example?
    You are debating these issues.
What differences are there and what similarities (if any)?
Do you think that either has influence in our country, in its politics? its leadership? Other (please explain)?

Your discussion or comments means you must know, or think you know something.
I want to be informed. Wont you answer me?

Excellent post, WC. I believe we have an attitude that "it won't happen to us." Yes, I believe in the pre-trip rapture, but Christ himself said that in this world we WILL have tribulation. It's coming, sooner than we think, and we would do well to expect it instead of let it take us by surprise. I can only hope we have the fortitude to stand firm for Christ when it all hits.

 <---- This is me laughing at you.

You have once again demonstrated that you do not have even a basic understanding of these terms. Why in the world would you provide a link to the Communist Party to make a case for claiming involving Socialists?

Here's a tip: next time you want to throw the term "socialist" around with reckless abandon (as you have a disturbing albeit amusing propensity to do), try offering a link to the Socialist Party website instead. That way, you will not look so foolish in a public forum.

Do a simple Google search and you will find that there is a Socialist Party. As a matter of fact, there are actually TWO Socialist parties!!

Better yet, go to the library and educate yourself.

As for my "sarcastic remarks," it is not up to me to disprove ideas/thoughts/concepts that YOU have offered and cannot prove as valid.

You really do look foolish, and I am genuinely embarrassed for you, Revmitchell. It's out here for everyone to see.......

    1. More than Revmitchell.
    2. Example of what?
    3. More than Revmitchell.
    4. Again, example of what?
    5. No, I am pointing out that Revmitchell has no concept of these terms, and seemingly loves to throw them out into discussions where they are not applicable to the people in question.
    6. That is a discussion that is off topic.
    7. Yes, and no.

No, read my comments again. I am not discussing these topics, I am pointing out that the person interjecting them into this discussion does not have even a basic understanding of these terms.

If you want to be informed, read for yourself. Don't depend on me to inform you. Practically every library has books on this subject - read them for yourself and formulate your own opinions. If you truly "want to be informed," you will enjoy it more if you read for yourself, rather than getting my opinion.

    Regards,
    BiR

 <--- This is me - still laughing at you.

You really don't know when to quit....

But since YOU interjected the terms into the discussion, enlighten us as to who are the Socialists, the Communists, and what ideals they have espoused. That way, you can demonstrate to everyone that you have some understanding of the terms YOU are using.
