New York soldiers' votes may not count

    SOURCE

A hundred bucks that not a single person loses their job over this.

Someone should probably go to jail...or at the very least lose their job and pay a fine.

But, hey, this is New York, where corruption is a prerequisite for public office.

Disgusting. Our troops fight to ensure our freedom, and we have idiots running our government that are too inept, stupid, or corrupt to bother to send them a ballot in time.

I say overnight them a stinkin' ballot, and send it back special delivery. Make the buffoon that screwed up pay out of his/her pocket, or jail them until a satisfactory "repayment" is made.

Like I said...the sad part is, no one will pay for this.

Maybe the best punishment would be about 2 years of military service for the person who fouled up.

Never mind...we don't need that level of incompetence over there.

And to be fair, your mom's right to vote ought to be as sacred as Private Jones' in Afghanistan.

It's the symbolism that adds an extra layer of disgust to this process--the defenders of our rights can't exercise theirs.

And, I must admit, I'm skeptical that this was accidental. I'm not sure the Democrats want the military voting. I don't know that they'll do all that well this election cycle.

Could be wrong, though. I'm due...it's been hours since the last time! Granted, I was asleep most of that time... :D

Voting is the opiate of the people but it doesn't change anything except the name of the tax collector.

They should figure out a way to get the ballots over there and back to New York by election day. Someone should lose his job over this oversight.

My friend do you recall the problem on government mess up on Florida service folks in the election of Bush? The democrats didn't want to count those votes due to mess up by the government. That is why I like the government in charge of anything. I didn't care for the way they did things when I was in the service and I don't care for it today. If you want something done wrong, put the government in charge.
