    diane,

I guess all those Thou Shalt Not's aren't in her Bible either.

It depends on what the definition of "is" (and "thou shalt not") is.

Either this is sin and this woman should not be preaching or Bro. Joshua is wrong.

Diane are you of the opinion that a sovereign God cannot call a woman to be a preacher/pastor? Or that a person's sexual preference or orientation can remove him/her from a place of usefulness as God chooses? And Murphy could be mistaken about Rev. Joshua? Are you greater that God?

Uh.. Bob... Scripture clearly states that a woman is not to preach/ teach men and that homosexuality is an abomination to God. Not my words... HIS! Therefore, this woman is doubly outside God's plan for women.

Murp took TWO sides in that discussion. I was confused by his agreement with both sides.

Too many people love sin more then God, even some christians. Self, more then God, they have made self their own religion. And who cares what God has to say about it. Is it only in our modern day when christian do not stand up and call what God calls sin, a sin? We like Adam and Eve in the garden seek to make excus for sin. When standing in front of God one day there'll be no excusses acepted.

Diane I am sorry to be confusing in my comments concerning Joshua, it was a feeble attempt at sarcasm. I can never support Joshuas faulty understanding of scripture. Concerning Bob's claim that some of us keep people in bondage I must reply that the truth of Gods word is what sets us free, freedom can never come from false preachers who preach a false doctrine which tickles the ears and condones the sins of the flesh.

Faulty views of Scripture? That's interesting. What makes the views of 007, Diane, Murph any less faulty? You have read the Bible and come to certain conclusions and decided that your conclusions are the be all and end all of the discussion. I don't agree with many of you conclusions .. particularily about women preachers. I thank God for some of the wonderful preachers. And I don't think the Bible offers a clear cut answer to either homosexuality or women preachers. This is what makes the world go around. And many of us will be surprised at those we meet in heaven who had different theological and doctrinal conclusions. I am happy with mine and am happy for you to have uses .. but be careful that you don't insist on 100% correctness. Enough said for me. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Hmm. Good thought, but I'm stalled, for you did not define the "is" at the end of your sentence! [IMG]

I wonder why they don't ever interview the parents and families of the homosexual and lesbian pastors and let us hear about all the crying and hurt the family has been through because of the child's sexual orientation?

Could this be the great Achilles' heel of Same Sex Orientation?

How can something so "wonderful" and so "right" to those involved be at the same time so hurtful to those who birthed them, nurtured them and still love them?

    Especially in the church.....

Bob bull doesn't make the world go around but rather God in His wonderful mercy allows it to revolve. How could God be more clear cut, the word of God always denounces homosexuality and if the women preacher thing is not clear then maybe your glasses need cleaning. In fact the only thing I agree with concerning your post is your last line and I must ask if it is a promise. [IMG]

I don't know what the 6 principles are but I assume they include belief in the scripture and if so what is your point.

Well, I can't say I'm disappointed to give the 6-hour, 3-page warning on this thread. It will be closed by one of the Moderators no sooner than 9:00 E.T. tonight.

The point is simple: it is easier for many to pick on sins they do not commit to avoid dealing with their own sins. Jesus clearly identified this "psychological projection" when He spoke about the "splinter and beam" in our eyes.

    Six Principal Baptist said:
and evidently.... some don't want to face the fact that homosexuality is a SIN and women are not to be pastor's of churches.

Six Principal also said in his profile and I'd like this explained:

I just don't see it as something to obsess over if people are hearing the good news of the love of God and salvation through Jesus.

Diane </font>[/QUOTE]Wow, you're really hung up on profiles, eh? [IMG] Here's an idea: when you see something in a profile that grabs your attention, why not simply send them a private message instead of trying to change the topic of an existing thread? ;)

SixPrincial changed the topic when he introduced his ideas and his web site where you can, for $100., become an ordained minister of the Six Principal Baptist group. See his site for restrictions and qualifications.

    Good Night, BrianT.........
