News: Falwell's remarks blamed for riot

    Post I believe Falwell had every right to say those words because they are true. Sometimes it is not popular to say what God has placed on our heart to say, but as a man of God I give him the benefit of the doubt that God ordained his words.
    Being nice and sweet will help the feelings of muslims and homosexuals but it may fail in pointing out that they are in error in their chosen path. Sometimes the truth hurts.

    Then why didn't he point out the same about Jesus? He made it seem one sided and all fault of violence and terrorism is from the Muslim side.

    Post-it, do you have a problem with some of us accepting the absolute integrity of God? His reasons for His actions and commandments may not be understandable by man. But, the True and Living God is a righteous God. To compare Him and His commandments with a false god like Allah comes close to blasphemy. There is no possible moral equivilency here nor is it a matter of comparative religion.

    When did I do that?

    Anyway...

    So do you feel Jerry Falwell was trying to convert Muslims by telling them how silly they are for following such a fake and violent man or do you think the real message JF was making was to ignorant Christians who don't realize that Muhammad is a false prophet.

    I still have no Idea what his purpose was, do you? Was it saying the obvious to Christians or Conversion of the heathen by attacking their belief.
