I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean. The reason I have not posted is I had a motorcycle accident and spent 13 days in the hospital with 9 broken ribs and a broken shoulder. I was not in any position to post anything.

I am not pleased at all with much of what President Obama is doing.

I believe this is part of the problem, do doubt.

Don't worry about O.R., Bob. I'm glad to see you are OK, sorry about the accident.

In 40 years, I'm willing to bet O.R. will still be obsessed with Obama.

Yeah. For once I agree with you.
    "Nothing."

Do you even, (given that you ever had this thought), remember when you were proud of this country? Do you remember when you, (if ever), supported this country? If so, when?.........
    O.K. I'll wait.........

    1) Yes, I have always been proud of my country. I don't remember not being proud of my country.

    2) Yes, I have always supported my country. I don't remember not supporting my country.

My love for my country, my support for my country, is not dependent upon who is in the White House, or who is in the Congress, or who is in the Statehouse, or who is in city hall.

My love for my country, my support for my country, is not dependent upon my country being perfect or never making a mistake.

God has richly blessed me with being a citizen of the United States. I am grateful to Him.

I doubt that I know how to do so in such a way as will please you. I'm sorry.

    There's your problem.
Stop trying to impress people and just do what is right.
    Who cares who you impress?

WHAT?....NO,NO....You can't put that one on me, bud.:tongue3: I'm just some cod-brained, old, independent, deer-hunting, crappie-fishing, trot-lineing, country-boy, who likes to yank the cranks of the liberals here. If you start getting nice to me, where else am I to go? Stop it.:tongue3:

Well, all of us Christians might as well start learning how to get along with each other on this earth since we will spend eternity getting along with each other in Heaven. :)

I gotta hit the sack. Have a pleasant evening. :)

    Thank you Bro. Curtis.

Seeing that President Obama is seemingly making one blunder after another, I'm truly glad I didn't vote for him.

I see that you have no point. You haven't opined on the subject matter, but have had plenty to say about those who do. Nervous ?

Nixon's move was devastating, no matter when it happened.

Nixon was a bad guy. You should do some research on him. For instance, didja know he broke the rules about gambling, while in the Navy ? He was an officer, and took advantage of enlisted men, pocketing their money, after teaching himself to play poker. He WAS a crook, and a liar. Pointing that out does not equal an obsession, but perhaps you are obsessed with wiping his slate clean ? Perhaps you are obsessed by KenH ?

You prove my point. You are obsessed with Nixon. Lighten up! He has been dead several years. I am sure being obsessed you have the exact count. You do realize that obsession is not healthy, especially obsessing about the dead.

Not that It matters but I have mentioned Nixon only once in Post #9, as follows:

Now Obama is in office doing far more damage than Nixon. Worry about him; but "pulease" don't obsess. As I said it is not good for the health, will make you bitter!

Also, O/R, since abortion was legalized 40 years ago, perhaps you could stop turning every thread into a discussion about that ? Perhaps ? Like you say, what's done is done, ain't that right ?

Maybe we should stop obsessing about Hitler as well. He died more than 60 yeas ago - give it a rest.

And that Pilate guy - can't we just let it die?

Nixon didn't do this all by himself. He had plenty of help from democrats.

Actually FDR took away the right of the American people to convert their paper money to gold in 1933.

Why? He needed money to fund his massive social agenda.

Nixon took the nation off the gold standard in 1971 shortly after Great Britain showed up at the gold for dollars window with 3 billion dollars in paper money and requested gold in exchange. We didn't have enough gold to cover the dollars being hoarded by foreign countries.

And Nixon needed money to pay for the massive social programs of Johnson.

Taking the nation off the gold standard was finalized and legalized when a solid 1978 democrat congress made it law and Jimmy Carter signed it.

There is plenty of blame to go around. It is unfair to lay it all at Nixon's feet.

The problem was too much government spending. Just like now.

Obama is printing dollars with no backing like there is no tomorrow. Why do you think he is doing that?

To fund his massive spending agenda.

IMHO The Gold Standard is gone forever and soon the dollar will lose it's standing as the world's leading currency.

The problem is , and always has been, excessive government spending.

Thanks carpro! Guess I was to old and lazy to do the proper research. I agree that: "The problem is, and always has been, excessive government spending." Now perhaps Curtis will quit obsessing about Nixon.

I will never quit condemning the slaughter of unborn children and those who support this practice as long as there is breath in my body. 50 million and counting is not something to be forgotten. Obama is the most rabid supporter of this slaughter we have had in the White House. He ranks right up there with Barbara Boxer, perhaps worse.

What, exactly, are my "obsessive" remarks ? I've posted more about you than Nixon.
