This is part of an advertisement, but:
In short: They want talk radio crippled before it does any more "damage."

But beyond the "Fairness Doctrine," which was defeated – for the time being – a few weeks ago, Sen. John Kerry has gone so far as to call for bringing back the equal-time provisions. That would mandate not just "fairness" in broadcasts – by forcibly requiring that "conservative" views be balanced with "liberal" views – but actual minute-for-minute, second-by-second measurements of what is said on the public airwaves.

Sharpton said: "It is our feeling that this is only the beginning. We must have a broad discussion on what is permitted and not permitted in terms of the airwaves."

Wow, Carl Marx would be proud.

Still other attacks are based on charges of "bigotry and hate speech." Currently, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, John Gibson and Michael Smerconish have all been declared to be under scrutiny for their on-air "hate speech."

Interesting that conservative viewpoints are "hate speech".

Interestingly, Jay Sekulow, of the ICLJ, (International Center for Law and Justice) is taking the perspective that this rhetoric is aimed at the Christian community. At least that is his arena.

So I think that indicates that this is an attack on right wing Christian conservatism.

I'm curious as to what Rush Limbaugh (who claims not to be a Christian), Bill O'Rielly whos is nominally catholic, and Glenn Beck who is a cultist has to do with right wing Christian conservatism.

I respect Jay Sekulo, but I suspect he's worried more about the precident being set rather than the spew from these guys.

Actually Rush claims to be a Christian. Anyway Kerry and his ilk are communists masquerading as socialists. This is a clear example. And the "damage" being done is to the communist agenda.

Face it folks the PTB don't want you and I getting ahold of information that could slow down the rush to world government. That's why folks like Rush Hannity O'Rielly and all the assorted "lefties" are there. To keep you talking about anything else but what is really happening to our country and who is really responsible for it all.

Just picture yourself as a ping pong ball in a game between the so called righties and lefties. Then try and understand that the one worlders own and manage both teams, the righties and lefties. Doesn't matter which team wins, the one worlders win no matter what. And you just keep getting bounced back and forth until the game is over.

The proper way to get warmongers and chicken hawks such as Hannity, Limbaugh, et al, is to simply not listen to them, not through the use of government force.

I think his concern is over his program, Coral Ridge, Charles Standley, et al. In other words, Christian radio and TV, even though it's aimed at Rush and those of his ilk.

If those types of programs stick to the gospel and stay out of politics, then they should not have a problem.

I want to know who determines what is conservative? There are those who call GWB "conservative", and although he's lightyears ahead of Gore or Kerry, he's still very liberal.

So, maybe we should demand equal time.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Good way to boost badly sagging ratings. Rant about the government trying to shut you down.
