November - Reading 19

    Good evening -

    As we conclude the Book of Ezekiel, we read of the new division of the Promised land. Again, it was hard to find a decent map without a lot of extra commentary but I did find this map:

    We also read John's account of the Triumphal Entry. John treats the subject showing Christ more as a figure of royalty and has the people shouting before Him expressing more complete passages of the Psalms that speak of the Messiah's entrance to Jerusalem. In verse 19 the plot thickens concerning the Pharisee's plot.

    In 1John, we learn that it is through our love of Christ and His love for us that we have the power to overcome the world. The "water" is where Christ's ministry began in baptism and the Blood is where the ministry ended on the cross.
