Does it bother you to see Obama in a turban?

Turban being a hat from a region of the world then no I have no problem with him wearing it. I see JOJ wearing a kimono. If it would bring peace to the middle east then I would hope we'd all wear one.

I suppose it would be a problem if he wore one to his inauguration or state of the union address but I don't see that happening.

I've never seen him wearing a turban, so I suppose I can only anwer the question by chaging it to, "Would it bother.....?" No, it would not.

when was the last time? when he was young and lived or was in africa? is this recent? does he wear one now? has he worn one in the last 20 yrs? since beginning his political career? it's a hat, nothing more, it is not membership in a religion.

He was born and raised in America. He did not visit his ancestor's homeland till much later in life, as a young man.

    tur•ban |ˈtərbən|
    noun
A man's headdress, consisting of a long length of cotton or silk wound around a cap or the head, worn especially by Muslims and Sikhs.
ORIGIN mid 16th cent.: via French from Turkish tülbent, from Persian dulband.

There's definitely a statement made by the wearer, no matter who he is.

Thanks PJ, so it's not just a hat, but a muslim piece of 'clothing'.
