    Hawaii became a state in 1959. Barack Obama was born in 1961 in Hawaii.

    Obama is a natural-born citizen.

    Has Obama ever actually released a certified copy of his birth certificate? If not, what is he trying to hide. Suppose his citizenship is ok, could be there is something else on that certificate he does not want to be made public?:confused:

    I'm not so sure. Someone made the comment that while he was in Indonesia, Obama may have been classified as a citizen of Indonesia. If so, he gave up his U.S. citizenship, and there's no comments or documentation that he re-applied for it.

    So far, neither side has provided conclusive evidence one way or the other.

    Circumstantial evidence. When you have a picture of a young Obama in a school in Indoniesia...and realize one must be a citizen of that country to attend school there...and if one is a citizen of that country, that means according to citizenship requirements of that country, he is no longer a citizen of this one...and there is no documentation provided by the president elect...you can see where he would be considered guilty until proven innocent. The thing is, it's SOOOO easy to prove his innocence, but for whatever reason, he refuses to. I'm guessing there is no official documentation or he would have provided it already.

    There have been four lawsuits disputing McCain's citizenship. The first was in 2000 when he first ran for president.

    For one thing, his grandmother went on record saying she was present at his birth in KENYA, along with two of his brothers. His grandmother just 'died' recently. I wonder how long his brothers will last...

    One birth certificate was produced, but was smudged so bad that the place of birth was unreadable.

    None of this would be happening had he released the requested information to the public when asked. Instead, he put a gag order on both of his colleges and his true birth certificate being released.

    None of the other candidates had a problem with releasing information when asked.

    Sure makes one wonder what he is trying to hide...

    And it IS a fact that, while attending school in Indonesia, he was a citizen of that country. Otherwise, he could not have gone to school there.

    All this does not matter ... just like McCain, Obama's mother was a natural born US citizen ... thus he is a natural born citizen.
