The other thread is about to close and I would like to bring this up.

I heard a clip today of Obama mocking Joe the Plumber. He said something about McCain fighting for Joe the Plumber. The crowd laughed and people were shouting, "put him out of business!". Obama said he didn't know any plumbers making 250K a year. All the while the crowd is going wild and laughing. Obama just laughed along with them.

Now I can't find a link with the video. I want to see the video to see if it looked as bad as it sounded, because it sounded very demeaning to Joe.

I have questions for everyone to consider.

    1. Does this incident give us insight into how Obama, and the democrats, really view the common man?

    2. What did this man do to deserve Obama making fun of him? Was it because Obama had a rare moment of candor and said "I want to spread the wealth around?

    3. How does belittling Joe the Plumber help heal the rifts in our society?

    4. Is this what we can expect to happen to anyone who disagrees with the democrat supermajority in Washington?

    peace to you:praying:

I thought Obama and the Democrats were the "common man". McCain is representing the 5% that make more than $250K. The ones supporting Obama are common everyday workers who can careless about raising taxes over $250K. Won't impact my pocket. They've gotten the most tax breaks over the last 8 years so I really have no sympathy.

Well, you thought wrong. We have seen how the common man is treated by them. :tear:

In Obama's defense, I tried to call Joe today, apologize and deliver the good news that Obama will cut his taxes. He no answer. :BangHead:

Joe the Plumber forgot to mention that he hasn't paid his state taxes.

He'd be better off to move away from Ohio and live in a state that doesn't have state and city taxes like Ohio does. No wonder so many people in Ohio are broke.

I support Joe the Plumber. He will be on Huckabee's show on FNC tomorrow night. :)

Obama knocked on his door and asked for his support. Joe asked a simple question. Obama said he wanted to "spread the wealth around". That is Obama's economic plan!

What difference does it make if Joe owes back taxes? Does that give Obama and the democrats license to mock him? He's a common man, trying to make a living and he is getting crushed by the media and Obama and the Democrats are laughing at him.

I really hope people are paying attention to this. It is very telling of the attitude Obama and the democrats have of the common man and woman.

    peace to you:praying:

He meant to pay it but he ran out of checks in his checkbook. As soon as his bank sends new checks you can bet one will be in the mail.

Then he is a tax dodger as well - still 'don't make it right.'

I think Obama should appoint Joe the Plumber to be HUD Secretary. Maybe he can slip in Dr. Jack Kavorkian to be the head of the Health and Human Services Department. Don't forget Ted Stevens as Secretary of the Treasury. Larry Craig wants to be head of Homeland Security, airport division.

You can knock Joe all you want, but that doesn't make Obama's socialist "spread the wealth" philosophy any less true. Just remember, in order to spread it around to others, he has to take it from somebody.
