Mistake II: Escalate the War in Afghanistan & Continue the Occupation in Iraq

There are several things I could say, but to begin with we are not occuping Iraq.
We are now there under SOFA -IRAQ

Obviously these people think that O'bama walks on water and recognize him for the Socialist that he is. I thought listing the ten worst mistakes might give some of the good folks on this Forum an idea of what we have to look forward to for the next four years. So folks cherish the 36 or so hours of freedom you still have left. By the way I have added my helpful comments in brackets.

Obama on the Precipice: The Ten Worst Things He Could Do When He Takes Over

As Inauguration Day approaches, the citizens of this country are on the edge of their collective seats waiting to see who the real Barack Obama is, and how he will step up to address the worst economic crisis since the Depression. Adding to his burden, Obama is following George W. Bush, who may go down as the most failed and destructive president in history.

Mistake I: Screwing Up the Stimulus Plan [Again]

Mistake II: Escalate the War in Afghanistan & Continue the Occupation in Iraq [Cut and run]

Mistake III: Settle for a Health Care Plan That Doesn’t Include a Competitive Government-Sponsored 'Medicare for All' Program [Socialized medicine]

Mistake IV: Fail to Forcefully Defend Workers' Rights to Join a Union and Deal with Corporate America on a Level Playing Field [This is the one where the government takes away the secret ballot.]

Mistake V: Continue the Destructive, Discredited, So-Called War on Drugs [Pot for free]

Mistake VI: Fail to Prioritize Climate Change and Continue Fantasies About 'Clean Coal' [Coldest winter in years. By the way whatever happened to the promised Ice Age?]

Mistake VII: Fail to End Torture and Return the Country to Its Founding Principles on Human Rights and the Rule of Law [Socialists and ther kissing brothers, the Communists, are experts at this. Ask John McCain.]

Mistake VIII: Ignore the Emerging Water Crises [And I was looking for a world wide flood from Global warming.]

Mistake IX: Continue the Bush Administration’s Warped View of How to Approach the Israel-Palestine Conflict [This means give Israel the shaft.]

Mistake X: Continue to Detain Nonviolent Immigration Offenders [And we wonder why there is an economic down turn, caring for 10-15 million illegals.]

I have just thanked the Lord for all the freedom I've had for 59 years in this Great Country that is now doomed. I still thank Him for the few remaining hours of freedom I have left. I thank all of the generations of patriotic Americans including my ancestors who gave blood, lives, lands, and treasure. They would turn over in their graves if they knew what is befalling us tomorrow. Maybe the trumpet will sound tonight. Khrushchev was right, they will bury us. They won.

Edited to say: Okay, MP, just because you made me laugh doesn't mean I didn't mean what I posted. I still mean it, hyperbole or not. :type:

Considering that the alternative as to have John McCain as president and Sarah Palin as vice president, LE, I am very happy that you feel the way you do - only because you can't seem to deal with this situation in a rational way.

They were never an alternative, not even their own party wanted them. I think more of the GOP voted against Obama then for McCain.

Were you a gnat on the wall at Republican households. McCain was not a favorite among Republicans. He ran a sorry campaign; afraid to call a spade a spade [no pun intended]. His one success was in naming Governor Palin as VP candidate. She cleaned Biden's clock in the debate. Of course that may not be saying much as his mouth is always a mile or so in front of his brain.

McCain would have lost worse without Palin as more of the base would have stayed home. She always drew bigger crowds than McCain. Also I think some Republican leaders are beginning to realize they made a mistake ignoring Bush.

Also there was a lot of idol worship of O'bama and a lot of people with less sense than emotion wanted to get the same feeling Chris Matthews got by voting for the first black [well half black] president.

And besides that, Old Reg, a lot of Americans want to be "liked" in the world and wanted to show the world that not only could we elect a partially black, partially Arabic, partially white president, but one with a muslim name to boot. That, coupled with the elite money thrown at his campaign and all the American haters in our own country, and the unmitigated hatred for GW Bush and failing economy, and all the professing Christians who don't value the sanctity of life more than their wallets, set the whole thing up. The situation reminds me of pre-Hitler Germany. The parallels are striking.

Some of the people on here who are so ecstatic will be the first to cry when they find their hero king has feet of clay and is an imposter of the highest degree. Then we will see who is rational or irrational, won't we?
