Hi to all , and there will always be differences as to whem the Old Testament

    was set aside .

There will always be differences as to when the Grace of God began , with Paul !!

There will always be differences as to when the New Covenant be begin .

Tis is the way that I see it .

#1 , The Old Covenant ended at Acts 28:28 or 70 AD . Which includes the books of Genesis THROUGH Acts ! And this means the Gospels of Matt. , Mark , Luke and John !!

#2 , I say that the Gospel of the Grace of God began with Paul's salvation in Acts 9 and those books of Grace are from Romans THROUGH Philemon >

#3 , The New Covenant is for Israel only and those books that the Jews will be studying will be Hebrews THROUGH Revelation .

    What say YOU ??

What do you mean regarding the New Covenant being for Israel only.

    ???????

The New Covenant (The grace period) is for the Church age.

    Was that a typo?

Other than that I pretty much agree generally with everything else....although I do not break up the new Testament into a part for the Jews and a part for the church.

I see all of the New testament as being *primarily* for the church, but also for the "whosoever wills" .

AKA hyper-dispensationalism. I think you would be very much at home with the Plymouth Brethern,

    http://www.plymouthbrethren.com/index.htm

I met with them for 10 years and they are a first class bunch of "Love God, be a good neighbor" Christians.

Their meetings are not easy to locate. 30 years ago they would not admit their existence. I am amazed that they (seem to) have a website.

In the Old Testament, there are a number of covenants. A question to ask is which one of those covenants offer eternal life? One of those covenants, which was to be implemented in the future (from Jeremiah's time) is called a new covenant. Another question to ask is that the same new covenant that Jesus gave his Apostles? What are the terms and promises of all the covenants? What is the difference (if any) between any of the OT covenants and or the Law of Moses and or salvation by grace through faith in Christ?

    Hyper-dispensationalist ??

Hi billwald , I hate to burst your bubble , but not all Dispensationist are
Hyper-dispensationalist . I believe that Israel was set aside in 70 AD , UNLESS you can show a Temple where they are sacrificing , that has not been reported ?? The Jews in Matt 28: 19 given a commission , AND do you see Jewish missionaries Peaching , Repentance and Baptism ??? Let me no when you do !!!

    #1 , There are so-called Acts 2 , dispensationalist .

    #2 , Acts 9 , dispensatioalist , that I believe .

    #3 , Acts 11 , a few in FL .

    #4 , Acts 13 , more than a few , like my former Pastor .

    #5 , Then Acts 28:28 , the Hypers DISPENSATIONALIST .

As you can see , they all begin the Body of Christ at different points of time and believe some similiar theology .

But the biggest group are Covenant theology with Acts 2 , and form the biggest group .

In our assembly we have had Hyper , Acts 13 , Acts 9 , Pentecostal and some that do not care

Hi to you , and I see that to ONLY have the New Covenant in play today is not GOOD theology .

To have the New Covenant in operation , you also need the Palestinnian Covenant because it is the Land that is promised to Israel . #2 , Christ has to be here to set on David's throne #3 , Then the Abrahamic Covenant for the Gentiles to be saved , in Rom 11:21 .

Then and only THEN , as these 4 are implemented WILL they be in operation .

    Dan,

You really didn't answer any of my questions. Do you want me to re-phrase them?

    Sorry ?

#1 , The New Covenant will be put into Operation at the Second Coming of Christ Matt 24:29-30 . Does that seem familiar , Acts 2:19-20 WITH Matt 24: 27-30 .

    #2 , In Matt 24:15 , the Temple will be rebuilt .

#3 , Then whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved ?

#4 , In the Second Coming , who is He coming to Save , why Jews , thats who !!!

#5 , Isa 66:8 , says , shall a Nation be born in a day , and at the Second Coming , it is the Jews !!

#6 , The New Covenant is the Covenant that will save Israel and you know some of those books and verse , like Jer 31:31 ; Ezek 36:24-38 , a good read ; and Heb 8:7-13 .

We find the New Covenant in the OT - Jeremiah 31.

Paul says in Gal 1:6-11 that there has only been "ONE Gospel".

In Heb 11:1-5 Paul affirms that the OT saints were fully accepted by God and in Heb 4:1-2 Paul affirms "The Gospel was preached to US just as it was to THEM also".

In Ps 51 "Create in me a clean heart oh God" - is the new heart of Jer 31, and Heb 8. It is the New Covenant.

All saints - from Adam to the end of time will have been saved under the "ONE" Gospel - called the New Covenant in scripture.

All the wicked from Adam to the end of time will have been lost under the "Old Covenant" - "obey and live".

For the wicked since the days of Adam -- the Law of God always condemns - pointing to their need of salvation.

For the saved - from the days of Adam to this very day - the Law of God is written on the heart by the Holy Spirit.

This is not the hard part of the teaching.

    in Christ,

    Bob

    wHEN THEN ??

If the new covenant is in operation , then you will ALSO have in operation , the Davidic , Plestinian and Abrahamic Covenant , all at the same TIME .

This like the Law of Moses , with the Moral , Ceremonial , and Civil , and it operate with only 2/3 of them ??? NO YOU CAN NOT as you need all three together .
