    He has a great voice, but I agree that he's not quite up to the originals. He is quite a showman, though, like some of them were. The wife and I took in an Andy Williams show in Branson, MO, once. Quite a showman!

    Found both of these on Youtube! Great stuff!

    Too bad you can't get Youtube. There's a huge wealth of old stuff on it!

    Okay, I will mention two obvious choices that have been overlooked. It doesn't mean that I endorse their lifestyles or other regrettable songs that have recorded.

    First,Tom Jones (born in 1940). Here are some songs I enjoy:
    Till
    Green,Green Grass Of Hom
    You're My World
    I'm Coming Home
    And he does a very good version of Roy O's song :In Dreams

    Then,there is Engelbert Humperdinck (born in 1936). Both E.H. and Tom were under the same manager earlier in their careers --Gordon Mills. But now their sons manage their dads.

    Please Release Me (Ray Price had a hit with it in the early 50s)
    Les Bicyclettes De Belsize (Mireille Mathieu also had a hit with this)
    Love Me with All Your Heart
    The Last Waltz
    There's A Kind Of Hush
    Quando Quando
