Olympic Basketball

    I had picked the USA men's basketball team to receive a bronze medal. They did the best with what they had (personnel, practice time together, international rules, etc.) I believe they can beat Italy. The top 4 or 5 teams were close. Wasn't the three-point shooting fabulous; seems that's becoming the main factor in Oly.play.

    The college boys lost a total of 2 games I think, one stolen (by the refs and Russians) and this Dream Team dropped 3 in these games alone. The NBA game is very different from the international game, the college is closer and has heart, something the NBA lost years ago. Congrats to Argentina.

    My 8 year old son asked me about the USA basketball team today, why they always go for the slam dunk and seem to show off. I replied without thinking, "they are a bunch of hotdogs." From the mouth of babes, he replied, "They seem like hotdogs on hamburger buns!" That sums up the NBA players in the Olympics, I think.
