So, killing a baby is no different than deciding to eat an unhealthy lunch?!?

Sorry, I think preventing/outlawing murder SHOULD be the responsibility of society.

Neither would I, but I may question it if that person says it's OK to murder.

Yep! No doubt both Dr. Emir Fethi Caner, Dean of The College at Southwestern, at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his older brother, Dr. Ergun Mehmet Caner, the President of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, both of whom, BTW, probably are under an Islamic fatwah of death, for their conversion to Christianity, are really just Muslims in disguise (since they have not changed their names), and are surely to be questioned regarding whether their faith is genuine.

    You are so right, preachinjesus!

Especially, given the actual facts that have been put forth, this entire conversation was, has been, is, and continues to be sad! :tear:

Interesting that you only picked certain phrases to bold, and left out perhaps the most important one to your entire argument. Here I will do it for you...“Although my father had been raised a Muslim, by the time he met my mother he was a confirmed atheist.” Techniclly his father was not a Muslim when Obama was born. The fact that his family wanted a muslim burial is neither here nor there. I daresay most Baptists families would still want a Christian burial for one of their children even if said child had abandoned their faith and chose atheism over God. For the last time, Barack Hussein Obama is an ARABIC name not a Muslim name. For heavens sake people.

This enitre topic is pathetic and ridiculous. Racism and stereotyping is as predominant as ever. How very very sad. Can you people really not find something of substance to disagree with the man over? Sheesh! :BangHead:

Very well put!! It's sad to see this thread going on without intervention from a Moderator and yet when we were having a good discussion on Tattoos it was closed in a huff.

    Oh well..

No remarks agains the Muslims, but for the "professed" Christians, its "open season" right?? You just committed what you accuse others of.

No. I am just saying that they profess to be Christians and then make all kinds of racist remarks. Professed simply means, professing to be Christian. You're point was?

I am sorry, but when you say someone is professing to be a Christian but making racist remarks, it is questioning his christianity. IMO
Or what does it mean?? or for what purpose would some one say he is only professing to be a Christian?? There is a reason for someone making that statement.

Not in the least. Just simply saying they are Christians making racist remarks. Whether Christian or not it isn't cool. I am a professed Christian.

I will say it.. if a person says he knows Christ, but then calls his neighbor a racist name, that person doesn't know Christ.

You cannot love God, without loving your brother.

When a person calls a person a racist name, they are not loving their brother...

So, no a person may be saved, but they are not being a Christian if they use racist language...

Even Christ said if you call someone a fool, you are in danger of Hell's fire...
How much worse is the "n" word?

Any "Christian" using language like that doesn't serve Christ.

Like some are doing with Obama huh? He professes to be a Christian. Isn't that good enough? Not for some.. they want to judege him continually.

Isn't he just another brother in Christ?

I wouldn't call it racism. Just poor logical reasoning.

This is where I'm coming from. Have any of the people who are accusing him in such a way actually read the books he's written about his life, belief, and values? What right do we have to question his walk?

Also, just for the record, just because someone is a Muslim doesn't mean I can spit on them and value them less as a human being. While I can try, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to honestly reach them with the Gospel...I still value them and their opinions as people. :)

Inquiring if someone is a Muslim or not, is not rascist and anyone who suggests so is just showing his or her ignorance.

Right.. that is questioning a religion. Nothing racist there..

Some would not vote for a Muslim..

To some it would not matter.

There is nothing in our constitution that prohibits someone from holding an office based on their religion.

No, that's not racist. What would be racist (at least on some level) is assuming that every Arabic-sounding name is a Muslim name.

Its kind of hard to support someone if they are Muslim and believe in honor killing, such as the young 17 year old that was just stoned to death for marrying outside of her tribe. Also, I think there was another honor killing and the uncle lives in the US. a so called "honor killing". They claim it to be God's work and I think even her family helped stone her to death. The video is on the net. You can google and find it.
