After being in Sri Lanka for almost two years, we have seen the salvation of a precious soul whom I have worked on for a year and a half, her name is Shiromi. She comes from a very strong Buddhist background. A year ago, I gave her a Sinhala Bible and without telling me, she has been reading it for the past year. Two months ago she agreed to come to services with us and it was there she told us about reading the Bible. That night she agreed to have Bible Studies in my office. The second week of disciplship (Gen 2), she said, "I believe this is true, what does a person do to become a Christian. Praise the Lord, an hour later, she bowed her head and received Christ. She told me, "What could I do, my heart told me that the Bible is true, I had to Believe." We never pushed the issue with Shiromi, we knew it was a very sensitive issue, especially coming from Buddhism. Praise the Lord, it was not my teaching or preaching that brought her to Christ, but the Word of God that is quick and powerful. Because Sri Lanka is a country that is very new to the Gospel, we have very little material available to us. So, we turst in what has never failed, the Word of God. Now, she is in the process of studying, so that she can bring her family to Christ. Amen, Glory to the Lamb!!
