There are a myriad of people and videos claiming Paul a false teacher who invented Christianity.

What is going on here? This is false teaching and in itself deceptive and false to say such against inspired Scriptures!

Think that paul is the "whipping boy" for modern day Apostate Christianity!
They would see him as being "Homophobic", as bringing in the "Christ Myth" of inventing the "Cosmic Christ" of taking what was meant to be a reformed Judaism, and creating entire "new" religion!

There was a multi-faith forum I used to contribute to who had a person who claimed that. He was a Muslim.

I find all of this to be a fulfillment of apostate Christianity according to the Scriptures and that Christ will be making His appearance (as the Day of the Lord has not been fulfilled) contrary to those who say He already has and all is fulfilled, and see them as also being deceived, and deceiving others.

I hope perhaps this Muslim will come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Thanks, joey!

He was an ex-Catholic but chose to follow Islam. There were several christians including myself who repeatedly showed him how Islam distorted Christianity, quoted verses out-of-context (especially Paul's letters), chose gnostic texts' heresies over the Gospels. Nothing we typed got through to him. :BangHead:

Around the mid 90's there was a group that was Jesus only that Paul was the anti-Christ to defend against the Calvinist. So with this Calvinist started trying to use a little more of Jesus words to prove Calvinism to combat back.

I myself thought they were both misunderstanding Paul. I myself was reading all other scripture except for Paul Epistle, not because I thought Paul was the anti-Christ. I thought I wasn't mature enough I didn't want to misunderstand him to my own destruction. I would listen to preacher preach and Sunday school teachers teach on Paul who was more mature than me. I have no problem reading Paul on my own, but there was a time I wouldn't read him on my own. My time not reading Paul on my own didn't last long but those people who where claiming Paul as an anti-Christ really showed me that people can misunderstand Paul to their own destruction.

    2 Peter 3:
14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, 15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

We are not to love the world, but can we love them as God does? To see them like sheep without a shepherd who needs Jesus, even knowing that maybe only 10% will listen to you?

The reason I ask this, because I don't see why anyone would be a hyper-Calvinist by reading Paul?

Out of the frying pan, and into the fire.

Jesus stated, "I am the way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. Whoever tries to climb up anyother way, is the same as a thief and robber". Paul proclaimed Christ, and that He is our only Hope, our only Way, our only source of Salvation, our only source of Faith, Justification, Repentence, and Santification. Paul was/is the most influential CHRISTian this world has ever known, if you ask me.

2 Tim. 2:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

    3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

We are in this time already. Amen to what you stated, Brother.

We are seeing today a Christianity that refuses to teasch the Cross as ONLY way to God, who have the "modern" jesus, who is JUST another jesus, a Gospel that is NOT the Gospel!

Setting up for a world religion, under a "False jesus"

Well Brother, the bible is being fulfilled every day. We can not stop bible prophecy from being fulfilled......though none of us who are ready would want to try to stop it, either.

Yes, we see fables coming down the pike often. I was watching Oprah and listening to her "gospel" and of Eckhart Tolles along with her after listening teo the video in the link I gave in the OP.

Their view is nothing but believing they themselves are "gods" never dealing with the sin issue.

Watching this you can definitely feel both an false "angel of light" and a sinister darkness along with it.

When Christ makes His Glorious Appearing every eye shall see Him.

    - Peace

Nothing new here. Thomas Jefferson held to this view.

More specifically he held to the view that Paul corrupted Christianity with his letters, but it is the same notion.

This is not shocking news - google 'Thomas Jefferson St Paul' and you will find the evidence to back it up. I think the primary source of this information was an autobiography.

Me thinks the attacks on Paul predate even Thomas Jefferson.

Here is a typical charge from a website:

"Thus, Jesus teaches us that the kingdom of heaven will be filled with those who lived their lives in active compassion and childlike innocence, while Paul envisions a heaven of crusty, serious "mature" grouches who merely have to profess "acceptance of" or "belief in" Jesus without ever actually performing a single kind, compassionate, cheerful or childishly playful deed." (And yes, this statement misrepresents heartfelt faith as mere profession, i.e. lip-service.)

As Paul would say, those who attack "faith alone" stumble over the stumbling block which is Christ. Among those who think works is the key to salvation, we would have atheists who say works is everything, Jews, Catholics and Muslims. No wonder we see so many trying to drive a wedge between Christ and Paul.

Think the "problem" people had with paul goes all the way back to His lifetime, as peter compared his letters to being as scriptures, and that .any were distorting them to their own destruction!
