I think this is great! I used to think that you could tell a lot about a person by their pet's names........ but, what happens if the pet was given to you and already has a name? LOLOL!!

We have: Boomer, Mike, Red, Pepper, Bandy and Dutchess.

I had a beautiful black and white Persian named Tuffy because he had long tufts of hair growing out of his ears. He was really christened Sir Tuftsalot because he shed hair worse than a man going bald. lol
He was not allowed on the carpet when I let him in. He would sit on the vinyl kitchen floor just beyond the carpet. When he ate his dry food (wouldn't touch canned) he would pick up one little piece from his bowl, lay it on the floor, look up at me and then eat it, then get another and do the same.
He was 12 years old when he was killed by a Rottweiler.

The only animal I have is a fish; a betta. Shortly after I got him, I was just watching him in the bowl. He's a blue color with long streaming fins, so I thought 'he's a blue streamer.' Then I combined those words into bleamer, then shortened them to Bleam, which I have called him since.

    2 kitties

    Grandpa Jones and Mollie Jane

They already had their first names when we adopted them from the Humane Society. We added the middle names.

We have to lock them in the basement when we can't watch them because they get in too much trouble. We have gotten some very funny looks from people when one of us asks "Did you remember to put Grandpa in the basement?"

There have been times when I'm talking about "Grandpa" that other family members are not sure if I mean the cat or my father.

I would like a Boston Terrier like the one in the allergy medication commercials (his name is Baxter).

My wife informs me that Grizzabella is not a Calico, but rather a Tortoise Shell.

Currently, we have two cats. The younger one was a son of my mother-in-law's cat who was named Creamsicle due to her coloring, he is a longhair, and we call him Creampuff, or Puff for short. (Not terribly masculine, I know, but then he's isn't too bright, either.)

The other one's name has a story. At one point, for two months, we were catless  ! The place where I worked was an old building on a very large patch of land, where people sometimes "dumped" animals. The other folks who worked there who were cat people were encouraging me to get another cat. Well, a kitten of one of the cats on the property must have been out exploring, because he fell into the lower than ground level area around the basement windows, and couldn't get out. They called maintenance, who caught him, and put him in a copier paper box. They called me, and there I find the box said "Debby's new cat." Well, I agreed, and the subject of a name came up. It was March 6th, and some one suggested Patty, for St. Patrick's Day. I said that would be OK if he was a "redhead," but he was gray. So one secretary looked at his rather broad nosebridge and said "He looks Jewish, not Irish." then it hit me - he was drawn out of a "moat" and looked Jewish, so his name is Moses. "Mo" for short, which he actually answers to when called. Only when I got home did my history buff husband tell me that it was a good name, because it was AlaMO day, and there was a Civil war general named MOseby, who was called the "Gray Ghost."

Well, I'm glad you cleared that up. I thought you were using Jiggs and crank as live bait. Which wouldn't be a bad idea. [IMG]
