Poll: Bush and bin Laden

I certainly wouldn't put it past them to use it for polilital purposes. But I suspect that Bin Laden has moved to Pakistan, and we're not allowed in there.

 

Osama has moved to South Philly, and you know that NNE is allowed in there!

 

LOL major b! I hope that Osama won't be "suddenly discovered and captured" just before the election. However, it would not surprise me if they've got him locked up in a cellar somewhere under Bill Clinton's office in Harlem. I hate to say, I think they know where he is. If they use that as a political tactic, now that's just shameful. But I'll still vote for Bush and hope and pray that this Godly man will stay in office for 4 more years.

The problem with such topics as these is that, if you're president, you can't win. The chances of OBL being captured in the same month as the election (presuming he will be captured under Bush's watch) is 1 in 48. Within 2 mos of the election is 1 in 24. Between now an the election, 1 in 16. In the same year, 1 in 4. No matter when OBL is captured, it will be political. Everything the Pres does is political, either by intent, or by the fact that we turn it into such. No matter how you slice it, he's dommed if he does, and doomed if he dun't.

 

That's right John. Ain't no two which ways to slice it huh? A little southern speak for ya. LOL

 

JohnV's statistics areinteresting. They show that it is not likely that OBL would be captured this year, let alone shortly before thte election. So, if it happens, the numbers, at least, show that something dishonest has taken place.

Of course, some Christians see nothing wrong with dishonesty, or even playing around with the lives of soldiers, if it advances Der Party.

 

Actually, PJ, I was referring to the presumption that OBL would be captured in any given 4 year term of office. When the US invaded Afghanistan, I predicted that OBL would be apprehended in late summer or early fall of 2004. I wasn't basing it on the election or anything of the sort. I was basing it on my personal layman's opinion of how long it would take to track him down successfully.
