    Some people here mistakenly assume that Bush's picks will be pro-life, conservative Christians. However, while Governor of Texas, some of Bush's selections were a major disappointment for pro-life Christians:

    "In December of 1999, when President Bush was Governor of Texas, he appointed a supporter of the Houston Gay and Lesbian Political Caucus and also of Planned Parenthood, Martha Hill Jamison, to the 164th District Court in Houston."
