Revelation 14:5

    TNIV : No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.

    Other versions render the verse in about the same manner. Among the like-minded translations :NRSV,NET Bible,HCSB,NLTse,NJB,ISV,ESV,NASB ,Darby,etc.

    But some older ones add "before the throne of God" at the end of the verse.Some of these translations are 1395 Wycliffe,Tyndale,Coverdale,Bishop's,Geneva,KJV,Webster's and Green's Literal .

    What's going on?

    Thanks for this interesting post Rip. Perhaps a copyist made a mistake by copying again what had been in verse 3 a little earlier.

    The NLTse has as part of verse 3 :"... in front of the throne of God..."
