A friend of mine says in my county, if a child brings a lunch to school, it must be "approved" for nutrition. Kids are now required to eat what the government deems "healthy" foods for lunch. A friend shared that her child was SENT HOME for not having an "approved lunch." So, the school denied access to education because of what the mom sent her for lunch! I thought this was just something rare going on in liberal California somewhere, but no, it's right here in my rural place in WV. We homeschool, so I wasn't aware of the new regulations for the public schools. Is this happening in your local schools, and if so, what are people doing about this intrusion into our personal lives? What right does the government have to tell people what to feed their own children? I just don't get it. Why on earth are people putting up with this?
