    The Christian that understands this article, understands what is at stake in today's political environment. If you grasp it, then you can grasp the inherent sin in believing in the nation-state religion.

    Second day, skimmed it, again. At best it is an argument for the Dutch Reformed doctrine of Common Grace: All good things come from God.

    Then you missed the point. The point is, modern Christianity has a split personality, driven by his mistaken notion that there is such a thing as a secular realm. They would never kill and destroy to conquer people and expand the empire in the name of Christ, but they have no problem doing it in the name of Caesar. They consider it "giving unto Caesar what is Caesar’s", as if war was a morally neutral entity. It’s this secular-sacred equality that renders the Christian and the Church toothless in affecting society, and prevents the carrying out of the Great Commission in its fullness.

    The Plymouth Brethern are only denomination I personally know about that doesn't worry about finances. All the Baptist churches I have met with are more concerned about their own finances than about missions.
