    Let's all remember, "IT TAKES A VILLAGE----".

    Now you can parse this case as (1) one case or you can see the door cracked for (not related to THIS case) a little more VILLAGE input on other facets of family decisions --- IE: home-schooling, or diets, or reading that old bloody book, the BIBLE (can you just imagine the warped minds that will cause??), or any number of things not in question right now!
    But that old slippery slope is NOT a fairy tale, as all of you should know by now - if you ever doubted it - regardless of how the liberals portray it.

    Let me ask this - to frame it in the "religious beliefs" vs. "killing a child":

    Had the child gotten ill, the parents took care of him at home, the child recovered and all was well, would the parents have gone to jail?

    It was not the religious beliefs. It was the needless death of a child from a cureable illness.
