I emailed Cloud and Waite to ask my ONE question (NOT a Bible version question) for helping me understand something. Cloud sent a negative response questioning why I would ask him the question, but Waite's response helped me understand what a verse was talking about. I realize these men probably get a lot of email, but I do not understand why Cloud was so short and unwilling to help me understand what the Bible said.

I would say it was Cloud showing his true colors. Even though you & I stand at opposite poles on the versions question, I consider you a CHRISTIAN, and would gladly help you if asked, be it a question or a prayer request, & I reckon you would do the same for me or for any other Christian bro or sis. It appears Cloud is on a cloud of his own & thinks more of it than he does his committment to Christ right now. If he were thinking in true Christian spirit, he would've answered your question properly, even to the point of admitting he didn't know the answer if that was the case.

Dr. Waite seems to be an honest man. He readily admits much of his KJVOist beliefs are based upon faith and that he cannot prove them. he is one of the more honest prominent KJVOs, although just as wrong as any of them.

He has without question. He said a fundamental Baptist seminary professors believed the Bible has errors. That prof does not believe any such thing and the quote Cloud gave proved it. He labeled a fundamental Baptist pastor as a compromiser which he was not. This pastor carried on an email correspondence with him where Cloud refused to retract his false and slanderous statements, but instead added fuel to the fire. In this correspondence, Cloud told outright lies and made even more false accusations. These things are objective fact.

I haven't seen anyone here tell a lie about Cloud. I haven't seen anyone hold Cloud to one standard while holding himself to another.

Which is why I must point out Cloud's lies and false teaching. He is in error; he is misleading the people of God. And some have been snowed by his material. The greatest problem with Cloud is that he says some stuff that is dead on. Unfortunately, he includes false teaching and many who read him do not have the discernment or knowledge to tell the difference. As a result, they are mislead.

[quotpe]I wonder which seminar or school the Apostle Paul went to? Gee, I wonder if any school he went to opened his eyes? Hmm, or rather was the Lord Jesus Christ himself and the truth what opened Pauls eyes? [/quote]It was both actually. But surely you are not claiming that you can get the same kind of revelation that Paul had. Of course you can't. But in 2 Tim 2, Paul gives the principle that those who know are to train others so that they can teach. That is the principle on which seminaries are based.

ACtually, some of the seminaries mentioned here have taken strong stands against compromise and error. By attending these schools, a young man would be well equipped to have a biblical ministry, and avoid compromise and error.

Michelle - your blind faith and tenacious hold to these teaching indicate that you could use some further training, and these seminaries recommend to Askjo would be good. Your mocking of education troubles me.

Of course to attend a seminary (graduate school), one has to finish high school and college first.

Paul had the equivalent of a Ph.D. and was extremely highly educated in his day. He eschewed willful ignorance. He saw a great part of his apologetic ministry to confront false teaching and refute it using logic and the Word.

Michelle: "I wonder which seminar or school the Apostle Paul went to?"

Dr. Bob Griffin: "Paul had the equivalent of a Ph.D.
and was extremely highly educated in his day.
    He eschewed willful ignorance."

Amen, Brother Dr. Bob Griffin -- preach it!
This comes right out of the inerrant, God Preserved
Holy Scripture, the HCSB = Holman Christian
    Standard Bible.

    Acts 5:34 (HCSB):

A Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law
who was respected by all the people,
stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered
the men to be taken outside for a little while.

    Acts 22:3 (HCSB):

He (Paul) continued, "I am a Jewish man,
    born in Tarsus of Cilicia,
but brought up in this city (Jerusalem) at the feet of Gamaliel,
and educated according to the strict view of our patriarchal law.
Being zealous for God, just as all of you are today,

    Amen, Michelle! And again, Amen!

That is exactly why I, and so many others, post here in the BV/T forum.

The fallacy of the King James Version Only myth is just that, ERROR! It is based upon feelings and not facts. It is the upholding of a man-made tradition in opposition of the preservation of God's word through the work of many godly translators that are still championing the truth of the word of God.

Every man of God MUST stand against error, especially when that error involves the word of God. And attempting to limit God to being able to only reveal His truth in ONE translation is blatant error.

    In Christ,

Michelle is not naive. I am not naive, either! I researched modern versions for about 14 years. I used the NASB for 10 years. I read and studied the NASB. I figured out in my mind by my own thinking, however the Holy Spirit spoke to me through my thinking. What did the Holy Spirit show me is to check one verse from NASB. I looked it up and noticed this verse missing. I was puzzled. The Holy Spirit spoke to me again and I followed His command. I looked it up in the KJV. I saw it there. At one time, I was naive about the difference between modern versions and the KJV. I went to a Bible college and asked the staff there. He gave me a sample book. I bought it and read it. I was shocked to see much difference between them. I started to research them until I saw the crystal clear evidence. I realized that the Holy Spirit is omniscient to know which is right and which is wrong. He knows which is most accurate Bible translation. It is not my word, but the Holy Spirit's Word. He said it is the KJV for English-speaking people available today and it IS the Word of God. Sorry, modern versions only contain the word of God.

    On another thread Michelle said:
"God's providence does not appear to be
    on the NIV, ... "

I am inclined to grant forgiviness on
behalf of God if you will appologize
to God for insulting His Holy Written Word
as found in the New International Version
(NIV). Whatever logic you used to find
the NIV-Bible to be at fault -- that logic
is flawed. BTW, this pompus, know-it-all
spirit makes the pharisees of Jesus' day look
    like saints.

Where is your fear of God?
Should you not be concerned about the
    spring thunderstorms?

Speaking of one of the KJVs Askjo says:
" ... it IS the Word of God. Sorry, modern versions only contain the word of God."

    Nice hair splitting.
    Or is that "hare" splitting?
    Titus 3:9 (HCSB):

    But avoid foolish debates, genealogies,
quarrels, and disputes about the law,
for they are unprofitable and worthless.

BTW, what did the Holy Spirit tell
you about that verse that got added
    to the KJV?

Isn't this unbiblical thinking enough to show you you are wrong? The HOly Spirit did not speak to you apart from the Word of God. The Spirit always works through the word.

So the Bible is not your authority then. You went to some scholar who published a book and too his word for and used those presuppositions to attack God's word.

So where did he say this? Please tell us so we can look it up.

Askjo - I did not call you naive. You have the right to hold to your theological view; it's called soul liberty.

But as Larry as accurately projected, your journey to your present position is tenuous and borders on non-orthodoxy.

If this statement reflects your ability to communicate logic, no wonder you use the KJV.
