Seven pages about 'thongs'??? I must say, at the pace society is going, in about 10 years, many people will go around naked. [IMG]

I read an article in a secular rag the other day that says that thongs are unhealthy as they cause irrititation and allow bacteria to travel from one spot to the other (trying not to be very graphic) and causing various infections.

Of course, that will not stop the fans of this style. For decades, chiropracters and podiatrists have decried the damage caused by high heels and even though women will complain about their feet or back they wear them because they are "appropriate" for certain functions. Oddly, enough they were designed to accentuate the swing of a woman's rear end because men are attracted to a swaying one. Yet, women want to men to appreciate them for their mind or what's inside and yet they spend tons of money and time to attract a lad to their body. Sex sells and Christians buy it as well as the lost. Designers are not trying to make you modestly attractive, they are selling sex. The latest fad is not going to be within biblical standards of modesty. It has been that way at least since the 60's and it is getting worse all the time.

And guys, be careful, many male designers are gay and aren't designing things for you to be a man hence the trend towards pastels for guys and of course the earring and necklace phase. Years ago any man in any of that get up would have been marked as a homosexual immendiately. Now, you can't tell because even straight men dress effeminately.

I don't believe an issue like this should cause a split in the body.

Interestingly, a few years ago, most gay men had very short hair, whilst straight men generally had (Baby boomers and younger)had long. Now few have long hair. The gay influence is seen here as well. Jesus had long hair, as was a REAL man.

True, gay men were in hiding back then and tried to merge into the crowd whereas the hippie lads went the other way and were more like the the demons described in Revelation that had the face of a man (beard) and hair of a woman (long). Now, gays are out and loud and influencing many areas that we are most likely not even aware of yet. There was a lad on CNN commenting on one of the awards shows and the fashions and the lad was a stereotypical gay. There was no hiding it.

I held jail services yesterday and the male gays had short hair, but the shemales had long hair. There was one Hispanic guy there that I would have sworn was a woman had I not know the truth.

We assume that Jesus had long hair because some think He was a Nazarite. Actually, in appearance He would not have stood out in a crowd and if He had long hair meaning He had not yet fulfilled His vow to God the Pharisees would have jumped on this and harassed Hm about it and would have used it as a means to discredit Him as a teacher. Average Hebrew hair length would have covered the ears. Long by 1950's standard, but short in the 60's.

This issue must cause a split as either the church takes a stand for modesty or it doesn't. If it does then it keeps bodily splits covered modestly and not just covered.

What do you base this on?

Jesus was a Nazarene, not a Nazirite.
