Should this HS Football game be played?

    Last Friday night a HS Junior died while playing a football game. (Phoenix at Homer).

    This week the team decided to forfeit its last game of the season. Rather they will go to the Homer game and support them.

    Do you think the team made the right decision?

    I think they should have played the game.

    PS - the Syracuse Univ Orangemen have invited the team to the SU / WV game this weekend.

    I think the team's choice to forefeit the game was a gesture of loving kindess and respect toward's the deceased teammate and his family.

    I agree.

    But why punish them by making them go to a Syracuse game?
