    Like outsider said..

So....if I neglect to witness to a lost person today...I will go to hell?
If I neglect to give to the needy...I'll go to hell?

If I don't pray for my enemies...I'll go to hell?

Now, don't get me wrong: those are sins. But "those are the kind of sins that send you to hell?"

Sorry...I don't see the disctinction between that and the sins listed in 1 Corinthians 6, Revelations 21, or any other list, for that matter.

How is it one set of sins will "send you to hell" and yet another set of sins will not?

Doesn't this diminish the gravity of sins when we say

    versus

Yes they are. But so are the ones I listed. Those are the one's James was referring too. The people were not helping one another. They were (In my words) saying things like - "Thats your problem not mine" or "I know you need help but I am busy right now".

Obviously I know not to murder, commit adultry, etc...
I also know that the sick needs visited tonight. Tomorrow night.

No, you are the one who brought up adding to the scripture, so I ask you for scripture

I have told you over and over the Ten Commandments.

Also, you still have not said if you have God's laws in your heart.

um, I am a Christian. Psalm 119:11 is a verse I know, love, and treasure.

I think you have some views you need to re-examine, but I have not questioned your salvation. Please afford me the same courtesy.

I provided you with my reference. It is the greek concordance definition of a lie. I already know where your defintion comes from, I looked it up. It did not come from scripture. It came from a dictionary (Unless it is an amazing coinsidence).
Again friend, pride and bearing false witness is a sin. Do you not feel convicted? Do you not feel the need to repent and admit you sinned?

Aside from the obvious, you already admit that you sin.

How come everyone always pairs up murder & adultery as the first two hanious sins a Christian can't commit?

Does anyone see a difference between them?

So now, you are going to be my judge and jury, that I have sinned and need to feel convicted.

No, I do not feel convicted for telling you and others the truth. I am willing to die on it.

    Useless, Useless!!!

    TC had the right Idea...
When a person cannot even understand the elementary things of scripture there is no use debating with him.

Charles, I have read what you are writing, and you are clearly teaching works.. and that theology will send people to Hell.

There is so much scripture going against you in this thread, but you are blind.

IF you cannot be honest enough to admit that you are capable of not doing GOOD 100% of your life, YOU are a LIAR.

NO one does Good 100% of each second of their life, and you just said that not doing good will send you to Hell....

So no one deserves to go to Heaven!!!

With that I agree, that is why Christ is our scapegoat.. He is our substitute.. .when God looks at me, he see's Christ's righteousness..

Everyone seems to be skirting your question about adultery, but I will not...

YES, if I committed adultery, I will still Go to Heaven...
Based on what Christ has done.. .He has saved me forever.. .eternally...

Of course, I would be miserable, and worthless to God until I ask forgiveness, and I will lose rewards when I get there, but I will get there...

Not based on what I do or don't do...

But because Christ lived a sinless life. and God has applied Christ's righteousness to me when I asked him to.

If you don't believe this, Satan has you blinded. And I worry for your soul. If you can't trust Christ enough to keep you saved, something is wrong.. someone taught you wrong...

This NEXT part is for everyone...

Step back, look at Charles' argument, under which theory of atonement would it fall in? Which historical heresy is he espousing here?
I have tried to find one, but I think it is a new one coming to light here on BB....

I have never heard in all my life that there are sins a Christian cannot commit...

Why those old time preachers that preached against Adultery must have been wasting their time....

I wonder if Charles' pastor preaches against it to fellow believers.. .if so, why?

I still think it is useless to debate Charles, he will never understand it, unless the Spirit opens his eyes....

    Charles,
    You don't have to.
I am not your judge or jury. But surely you will not deny what I said. You may not feel convicted, but it still don't change the truth. Regardless if you admit it or not.

I thought of a couple sins unto death that no one has mentioned...

Not wearing a seatbelt, and you wreck and die... You are sinning by not wearing a seatbelt... Charles, you better buckle up... or do you have a magical seatbelt that Jesus buckles for you?

Driving 56 in a 55 MPH Zone.. and you wreck and die... you are sinning by breaking a law.. when the bible says to obey the authorities...
Charles, watch that speedometer.. .or does Christ keep you from speeding?

OH, and don't cross the center of the road... ever ... for if you cross that yellow line, and you wreck.. it is going to be pretty hot where you are going... you just sinned, and died.. hence a sin unto death...

OH, and eating too much fried chicken.. it harms your temple...
    Drinking coffee harms your temple

So, you better not drink any coffee.. .it'll send you to Hell

OH< and don't go to McDonalds.. too many saturated fats that harm your temple... I can see it now, you pull out of McD's drivethru, and get sideswiped by a car, you die, and you are going to Hell...

But I forgot, Jesus will keep you from drinking coffee, or Mt. dew, or any caffenated beverage... and Jesus keeps us from McDs...

Better watch that chocolate too... it contains caffeine.. a drug that harms your body....

NO MORE HERSHEY BARs.... They're of the devil... of the devil I SAY!!!

NOT guts, but honesty.. the one thing God requires of us.

If a person cannot be honest and admit they sin, they cannot be saved.

Am I promoting adultery? absolutely not!!!
But if I honestly believe I can't commit it, Satan can use my belief and sneak up on me, and cause me to fall....

But if I know I have that capability, I can be aware of Satan's attack...

Satan has a person right where he wants them when he has convinced them they are sinless.
