Do we expect anything else from Obama. This is what we endured for the last 18 months.

What's this? Another two-decade old questionable attachment. At least he is consistent.

    And this surprises Tom?

Pretty straight forward question, not open for misinterpretation.

This is the same spin we heard with everything else. What a joke!

Well Tom do you think he is telling the truth...

So Obama is thinking fair enough this guy called me on my lie but I'm going to persaude him and those in T.V. land that I am anything but a liar. Although I am a big fat liar, they are so stupid they will not catch on.

And this part is just too funny...

Anyone else think Obama looks sickly?

You know what? I have noticed the very same thing. When he gets into the pressures of the White House he will be very inclined to smoke even more. His nerves will not let him quit. Personally I would rather have him calm with nicotine than to have him a bundle of nerves with his finger on the button.

Some find it difficult to quit smoking; others find it difficult to show any Christian love toward those with whom they disagree with politically.

BTW, I do not see smoking as a sin, since the bible does not condemn it.

While smoking is a bad choice, and while I have no liking of President Obama, I think I can find a lot bigger and better things to point out than the fact that he might enjoy a stogy hiding behind a bush at the White House every once in a while.

Smoking in the White House is just as illegal as in any other government mandated smoke free zone.

I fully expect him to disregard the law. It fits his elitist personna.

Let's just hope he doesn't have the same habit Bill Clinton has. And Carpro is right - elitists have never passed a law on themselves. Law is for the proletariat masses.

BTW as I recall, Bill smoked cigars in White house didn't he? I guess the ban is on cigarrettes only.

I'm trying to figure out how this thread fits in with 1Timothy 2:1-6 and Titus 3:1-7. Does not Scripture say that we should "malign no one" because we ourselves were at one time slaves to sin. We were saved from sin, not because of our goodness, but because of His grace in Christ Jesus.

We should disagree with Obama on many issues (ex: Abortion, homosexual "rights", etc) but we should not seek out ways to attack him. Mainly on something as personal as an addiction to smoking. I'm not sure smoking is anymore sinful than eating at McDonalds so none of us should throw stones at Mr. Obama. We should pray that God will save him from his sins, deliever him from smoking, and give him the wisdom he needs to be a great president. I did not vote for Obama but I pray those things for my president because Scripture says that I should pray for him.

While I think it's absolutely silly to call him a sinner for smoking, I would encourage him to follow Bush's example, and work out regularly with his bodyguards with a regimen of calisthenics, & mountain biking.

And not to forget his armoured suit, especially when walking the streets of America.............from what I read on here.

    Cheers,

Jim....just an outsiders viewpoint. By the way, he has had friendly relationship with Canadian political powers and we look forward to a president who knows where PEI is.

That's funny the question is who will turn him in?

I smoked for many years and can attest it is hard to quit. I haven't had the urge in over 10 or 15 years so I know it can be done. The main thing is to keep his mind busy so he doesn't think about smoking. I don't think he'll have trouble keeping busy in his new job.

If one is an employee, first offense would probably be a letter of warning. Second time would get you a suspension, and after that, out the door.

You can't be serious. I have not read one anti Obama thread here that would suggest BB members want to kill the man.

His smoking is the least of our worries. I can't see condemning the man for being a human, prone to a weakness.

I've heard that Spurgeon smoked cigars. Can anyone verify or dispute that?
