Good article. I too am unhappy with McCain as I am with Bush.

But, I am not so unhappy with them that I would vote for a liberal that supports gay rights, abortion, and socialism.

So I guess i have to vote for the lesser of two evils.

At least you admit that as a social conservative Christian that you are voting for evil.

I salute you for your honesty.

With this statement I totally agree!

I haven't fully decided how I'm gonna vote, except that it won't be D (barring an attack of alzhimer's:thumbs: ).

I may vote R, 3rd party, or even "write-in", but I do plan to vote.

Although I wonder why, given the choices that are apparently, as of now, destined to be!

    MARANATHA!!!!

WSJ Tuesday ran an article showing that more GOPers are happy with McCain than Dems are with their choice of either Obama or Hillary. I'll see if I can find the link.

I can't recall a single time that a candidate's stand on social issues determined for whom I voted.

    Two questions:

Will you vote for continued totalitarian policies like we have had the last 7 years?

Which is better, to spend money on helping people or killing people?

I have a hard time understanding this from you. The social issues have more of an effect on your life that foreign policy or anything else. The social issues determine taxes, govenment intrusion into your life, and the deterioration of morals values that we pass on to our kids....

Just what is important to you when it comes to a candidates position?

I have a suspition what motivates you, but I wont make assumptions, I will give you time to answer.

In this election it is the protection of civil liberties and foreign policy.

If I had human children it would not be the government's policies that determined what moral values were passed on to them it would be my wife and me.
