Maybe we will be able to chalk up another useless war to Bush!

I don't believe the story. We simply cannot afford another war. Even Bush should be able to see that.

If the government can afford a hammer that costs $400, it can afford just about anything. :)

The title is misleading. The story is actually about Israels lead on such an event. I suppose it is assumed that should Israel and Iran get into it we would also.

==Well, we can't afford it. If Americans don't soon wake up and demand accountability from those people we keep sending to Washington they are going to drive our country into the ground. We are in serious trouble in this country.

But it was a special hammer.

We're broke so the question is whether or not Japan can afford to pay our way to war again.

We're allready at war with Iran. They're killing our guys, and we're killing them. That's what Patreus says, and I believe him. After all, he was hand-picked by BOTH sides.

Watch when president Hillary promises us oil revenues & says we'll be welcomed as liberators....and blames Bush, and re-enstates the draft.

Actually we could afford a much larger war, but I too believe this is just a story.

It's probably too late to save our nation....When GWB is gone, the terrorists will have Carte Blanche. But I doubt they'll come here again, as they have all the leverage they need with our own Congress being complicit with keeping us dependent on their oil.

    Iran? War?

    Look at the signs:
    Iran with WMD (alledged).
    Israel on readiness.
Our DOD has carriers and ships recently deployed to the gulf.
Some millitary officers voicing opposition for going to Iran: (What do they know that we are not being told.)
Long term food storage is disappearing (being sold out) by increasing demands from people in preparation...... for what?
We have elections scheduled for the fall.....but a state of emergency could pre-empt and establish the reign of Bush as we go into a police state and martial law.
The press is releasing more information to the European than our 'free press' is releasing to us.... (Remember, we have 'freedom of the press' which means those who own the press exercise their freedom.)
Our President has already set into motion the assistance of foreign troops in our own country if needed to control an insurrection. (Who, what and why would he be fearing that?)
Reportedly many in government, including our representatives and senators, are heavily invested in war connected industry.

Something may not happen...... and something might in spite of our exhausted military, inspite of the rising national debt, in spite of the devaluing of our dollar, inspite of our recession>into depression, in spite of the fact we no longer have the industry to support and build and maintain the armements for our military, inspite of Russia indicating its protection of Iran... and pre-emptive strike is not ruled out, inspite of the fact that starting a war or participation with a war in Iran would break the back of the broken back of our bank..... does it really look like sense and logic is running our country and that a war with Iran is unlikely?
