    Then maybe you should consider getting back on topic or starting another thread.

    Did I just read Gingrinch advocating limits on freedom of speech? Let me quote:

    Are ya'll really advocating limiting our right to free speech in order to catch someone that "might" be planning a crime. "Well it's to save lives in the long run." Have we forgotten there are things worth dying for?

    We have other options, we just won't use them. We know what countries the funding is coming from for these attacks. Attack back that way. A bomb explodes here, pick from the list of countries that are knownly funding terrorism. Bomb 'em back! Make it a severe enough attack that they will think twice about funding another terror act. But leave my freedom of speech alone. If I die in a terror attack because we followed our constitution on the issue of free speech, it will be worth dying for!

    When we play around with taking fundamental rights away from one group it always escalates in the loss of rights from other groups, and then it escalates into the loss of other rights and so on. Think what happened under Hitler. First it was the Jews, then mentally retarded and by the end there was no on in Facist Germany or it's territories that had any real freedom. Everything everyone did was closely monitered by the government.

    Big Brother can stay out of my life, even if that means I leave myself open to an attack because I've allowed my enemy the freedom of speech.

    How am I not on topic? How do you suggest people "stand up to Islam?"

    Please, please go back and read what he said as a whole and not just take a snippet out of context. The context of this snippet you quoted was when Islamist parents use their baby to blow up innocent civilian Americans as they made an real attempt to do in Britain then there will be a discussion about this. He did not advocate taking a particular side one way or the other just that a discussion will come as a result.

    And if it does happen there will be a discussion on what limits there should be. That is real and it is reasonable. I see some posts advocating not fearing such attacks and not defending ourselves.

    I want to be nice and gentle in posting but this is complete lunacy. It is a sick and twisted mindset that says do nothing, and protect nothing. If you come at me and my family with a bomb you better be faster, stronger, and smarter than me. Because I will take you out of this world without batting an eye.

    I dare say all the big talk about doing nothing will change when their family becomes directly affected. This is just twisted.

    "Celebrating war" has nothing to do with being strong in our faith when witnessing to a muslim.

    But children like to make statements whether or not they are germaine to the topic and then wonder aloud why anyone would think they are off topic.:tonofbricks:

    If you do not preach Christ as victorious over the powers of satan and death, then what do you preach?

    Extrapolating from your post and its implication "Without power over death could there be a resurrection?"

    Extrapolating from your post and its implication "Without power over satan would Christ be God?"

    I celebrate the victory of the Lamb that will mount His white horse . . . .

    I do not celebrate the carnage of those that die while living a life in rebellion against Him.

    By sending someone like you into the combat zone instead of a soldier that does not know Jesus Christ as Savior.

    I know a recruiter that wants to contact you.

    And then you can choose to be a combat medic and save lives on both sides.

    :thumbs:

    Preach the whole truth to the misguided followers of Mohamed.

    PREACH:

    Without Jesus Christ - there is eternal separation from God . . .

    Without Jesus Christ - there IS NO salvation;

    Without Jesus Christ - there is ONLY eternal damnation;

    Without Jesus Christ - there is eternity to get to know Mohamed, Osama, Adolf, and Attila REALLY well;

    And as Revelation states, there is time for the misguided to worship Jesus any way.

    Preach the truth to the misguided followers of satan's prophet Mohamed. Preach the WHOLE truth.

    If Christ calls me to evangelize a combat zone, I'd be more than happy to do so. However, Christ has not called me to join in a man's army. Their battles are not my battles. I'm called to witness, not kill.

    I did not ask you to 'kill'. A nice twist of my words.

    I asked you to save LIVES. You responded to that in the negative.

    So, how will you stand up for the Gospel and witness to muslims with or without being willing to protect their lives?

    I laid out my position pretty clearly. You asked me to join the military and I told you why that isn't appropriate.

    But your answer was a copout.

    There are many souls to be won amongst our young people in the military.

    I fail to see how adhering to the call of Christ can be considered a "copout" in any Christian circle, but apparently in your's, it can be.
