I apologise for a male intruding on your thread, but your reasoning for the info request triggered these sites on expectations from others. I figure good info is true regardless of the source; If however you do not wish ANY male input, just let me know & I'll ask the mod s to delete them!

I absolutely have to jump in here. I am a mom and breadwinner (my own business at home). Jesus is the head of the household here, and He is the one I am submissive to.

Now, if I happen to be blessed enough tomarry marry (which I have never done, becanme a mom before coming to the Lord), may the Lord help the man I do, because I have been doing everything on my own for so long, I don't know HOW I would turn to a man for direction or advice. I would probably make more money than he does anyway [IMG] [IMG] so perhaps he would need to cook dinner while I run the business.

Those are challenges I would be blessed and happy to face, if that happens!

So, blond one, I gues you need to really look at women as people, who are leaders and followers, strong and weak, submissive and assertive, who need direction but can also give it!

but then, I am more like a man than a woman in terms of my home role, so I will defer to my SICs.

by the way, I love to shop, paint my toenails and use GALLONS of lotion!

I like to blame my bad moods on PMS and not my sin nature.

I do not gossip, and type all my words, like the pastor's wife (transcribing). By the time I have done, I don't really want to talk, or listen to anyone else chattering either [IMG] )

I can't even bear to read this thread, and haven't.

The only response I give is that I refuse to accept any kind of stereotype, because personally, I beat the odds.

    Ladies,

Thank you - I have learned alot.

I have learned alot that will help me as I preach to God's people. I thank you for your positive feedback.
I was surprised at the number of women that feel that men do not speak to them when we preach.

... my NEXT Toast Masters speech was on this topic. I made a male biased mistake in my closing ... Ladies NOTICED (I noticed after I tho't about it). I personaly saw how powerful the use of words can be ...

    God Bless

    Wayne
PS Would you ladies mind if we close this topic?

Women need to feel that their ministries are important! If a woman is married, her ministry is to her husband. If she has children, her children are her ministry. God calls women to do many things and each one is important in God's sight.

Owning hundreds of shoes...Ok, I admit I own more than I should.

But I think Scarlett hit the nail firmly on the head when she said SECURITY.

I am not afraid to help out with home repairs, in fact I can't imagine sitting and not helping.

I'm not afraid to help repair a car or get dirty.

What I don't like is to be considered less than a woman.

My late husband could repair a car with his eyes shut, but I could have a baby with MINE SHUT!

My husband worked two jobs to support his family without complaining..in turn, I also worked, bought groceries, paid the bills, kept the house clean, took care of our children, made sure to check in on the parents when they needed something and helped make him comfortable when he came home.

I never had time to sit and paint my nails (in my line of work it would be too distracting anyway)
I didn't see how complaining would help..because no one needs added strife in a marriage.

I seldom ever got a thank you, but I never asked for it. My opinion was, if I didn't expect it, I'd never be disappointed.Do all things out of love and the rewards would find their way home. They did.

I am not terminally blonde, although I do have my moments.
What do they call it when MEN have those same moments?

"Keep em bare foot and pregnant, it'll keep em busy," is the MOST irritating comment ANY man could make or even think.

As for the whiners...theres always a little cheese to go along with that WHINE!

I'll take security any day. I don't think there's a woman out there who wouldn't stand beside their husbands, fiancees, or boyfriends and do their fair share in order to make the relationship solid.

It takes an equal give and take and as for PMS..some have it..be patient and loving.
ONE day,men will go through the middle age stupids and we'll still love them through it.

No offense meant, so hopefully,no offense will be taken.
