IN THE NEWS: SPAM MAKES FOR CURIOUS POLITICAL ALLIANCE
(Washington-AP) -- And you thought politics made for
strange bedfellows. What about spam? A New York liberal who
supports gay and abortion rights is teaming up with the Christian
Coalition -- against the people who clog up our in-boxes with
unsolicited commercial pitches. Senator Charles Schumer says he
has no problem seeking the help of the Christian Coalition --
because it has a lot of clout on Capitol Hill. And the Christian
Coalition sees the alliance as a chance to broaden its appeal to
the political mainstream. The two will announce a joint effort
tomorrow to push legislation to reduce the amount of spam being
    sent.

Smacks of the ACLU being on the side of a Christian issue every ten years so it can try to clean up it's tarnished image and 'prove' it is not biased.
