Syringe thrown at U.S Baseball Player

    Why would someone take a syringe to a major sports game and throw it at one of the players? Bad luck if they had happened to have used it to shoot up in the toilets first.

    SAN DIEGO -- In the seventh inning, the fans stood and sang a happy song about peanuts and Cracker Jack. In the eighth inning, one fan stood and heaved an empty plastic syringe onto the field, in the direction of Barry Bonds.
